David  D

I have an AR-10 lower I'm looking to build.

All my shots will be less than 1,000 yards.

Is there really any benefit to choosing 6.5 Creedmoor over .308, other than the opportunity to be a caliber hipster and pay more per round with the 6.5?

K  Dubbs

This question is not for Shawn or Savage. I know Shawn’s answer and savage is a poor. Just kidding but seriously. What’s your opinion on the p938? I’m a fan of pocket carry and cocked and locked is not a concern. I’m especially interested in Jeremy and Nicks opinion since they have a lot of pistols in and out of their stores.

Thanks!

Shotgun Her

Thank you for the responses to my question regarding a sling set up for my 870. I have a follow-up question and rebuttal for Jeremy. I am using a cheap vickers style sling currently. It mounts on the front pic rail which is out a ways from the receiver. There is no real way, unless you suggest one, to mount it closer to the receiver (remember this is a pump shotgun). What I'm really trying to accomplish is getting the barrel end up a little higher. I have tried to just reposition the center point of the sling over my shoulder but the gun just settles back down. Maybe there just isn't a good option IDK. I'm considering a Magpul MS4 sling but do not want to spend $60 on a sling that is not going to solve my problem. Thoughts?

For Jeremy walking with the gun in your hands while hunting is so 20th century. In 2019 we non-FUDDs like to keep our hands free. If I'm running the dogs I need my hands for my Garmin Alpha to see where the dogs are and still need to be able to snap up if the rabbit comes by or bird flushes. If I'm just walking to and from my hunting spot I need my hands free to get up the hills, moving branches out of the way, catch myself from falling and doing all the other things that you use your hands for while hiking. But if I kick a deer or something I want to be able to draw quick and get a good shot off. When I wrote my last email I was in the woods waiting for the sun to come up while Turkey hunting. I carry my decoys in my pack. After the first couple of hours, I get up and start stalking birds based on where they are Gobbling. I'm not expecting to kick any birds until I get close to the sounds but you never know. I like to have the gun ready but not in my hands. With so many new accessory options out there, there is no reason to hold your gun all the time just to maintain readiness. Same concept as when we carried our AR's crossbody in the service.

Josh R

Gentlemen - I need a recommendation for woods carry, but there a few parameters to take into consideration:

1) First and worst, I'm in the gulag of the People's Republic of Massachusetts where we have severe restrictions on what pistols we peasants are ALLOWED to purchase.

2) I hike/bike in the backcountry of southern New England (CT, MA, NH, VT) so I'm primarily concerned about black bears and not grizzlies or hogs.

2) It needs to be a weapon I can easily carry on me, probably in a Maxpedition-syle tear-open pouch. I also prefer semi-auto > revolvers.

3) The possible candidates I currently have are Glocks 19 & 27 (purchased before I moved to MA), and an M&P 45c.

4) It is possible to buy off-roster weapons on the secondary market.

Here are my actual questions:

Should I get a Glock 21 or 30 on the secondary market that I could convert to 45 super or 10mm?

OR is a weapon I already own good enough if I use specialty ammo like Xtreme Penetrator or Buffalo Bore hard cast flat nose? (I'd use those in a G21/30 as well.)

OR is there another option that would fit these parameters I'm not considering?

Thanks for your expertise, and sorry for the long question.

Zac C

Can I have Aaron’s new suppressor before he breaks it?

Got change for a $20?

Where am I?

When will this question be answered?

Michael E

I would like to build a WLS inspired upper. I’d like this upper to be a short barreled upper in 5.56. What parts am I ordering guys?

Kevin C

Every movie on the table, which movie character is each cast member like? For example Shawn is most like the guy in Pulp fiction the is locked up in the basement. #SSB

Steve N

I know you can't take a SBR across state lines without ATF approval, but what if you switch out the up with one that has a 16" barrel? Would it still be an SBR and need approval?

Thanks!

This show has everything from gun news to Shawn battling Peyronie’s disease. Aaron I know why you probably played football in high school, to get the quarter back. It’s funny because you’re Jewish. Jeremy I’m glad that after 27 first cousins on your dads side and a bunch more on your moms side, you finally locked one down. In all seriousness, this show provides a wealth of knowledge and has something for everyone. Their online friendship grew from trolling the internet making fun of grandmas on a yarn knitting forum to what you see today. No matter how much We Like Shooting has grown, they still make time to interact with fans of the show. At the end of the day, you have built a great community of 2nd amendment supporters who are making a positive impact by spreading the good word. By the way I advise everyone to become a Patreon because of the unedited version otherwise the entire show sounds like two battleships sending Morse Code back and forth. Aaron is way too exciting about Shawn’s SSB, like he wants to find Shawn’s new 1000 lumen flashlight up there. Thank God Savage finally died, I’m sure Nick would love to have way with him in the after life, if only he would have stayed in the grave. But seriously y’all, great show, I never miss an episode. Scott W

Hey Guys, I am intrigued by this idea of converting pistols to rifles. I have a collection of aging rifles and shotguns that I use for hunting and plinking at the range. I have been wanting something newer that can also be used as a defensive weapon. I am considering getting an AR pistol lower that I can get multiple uppers to and possibly eliminate some of these older rifles; that I don't much care for but have a use for. I have never ventured down this realm and was hoping you guys could explain what the difference between an AR Pistol, and SBR is in technical terms. Is it the length of the barrel, overall length or its features?

My thoughts are I could use this new pistol/rifle as a 22, 9mm, 556 and something in the 30 cal range. Thereby eliminating at least two of my rifles and adding two calibers to my collection. Any advice on this? Thanks and keep up the great work.

PS this form is not very mobile friendly and is probably why you have so many typos and grammar errors in the questions you get.

Phoenix A

Jeremy, im building an AR-10 and i need an opinion. Should i go 308. Or 6.5 creedmoor? I want it to be good for hunting and long range comp. and yes i know i will never get as accurate as a bolt action. P.S. ALL HAIL THE SWEET SWEET BUTTHOLE.

Hey sexy bitches!

I’m looking for an AR barrel that is chambered in 7.62x39. But this one is special..... it needs to be 14.5” with a pined/welded compensator.

I reached out to Faxon but still waiting for a response. Why are your thoughts? Know of any other higher quality manufactures that will make this unicorn?

Peace out bitches!

What did y’all think about Game of Thrones? We talked about Game of Thrones and endgame in a few episodes but never mentioned after the last one. I think it was because of the Episode 300 debacle And how that threw off the show releases. Anyways just wanted to know what you thought of GoT.

Aaron please don’t ever subvert my expectations.

Jesse V

Hey guys. What’s everyone’s opinion on modifying carry guns (triggers, stippling, etc)? I’ve heard the argument that it’s dangerous because perhaps they won’t be as reliable. Or that it can look bad in court because you modified your gun. Thoughts? Thank you. Please don’t have Savage read this because I don’t want my question butchered.

Wondering if you can give me some advice on a sling for my 870? I have both a bird and slug barrel for it. I often hunt with a pack on so traditional shoulder carry results in a slow clunky draw and is always slipping off of my shoulder. I tried a single point sling but while it had a fast smooth draw it was always bouncing against my leg and the barrel was hitting the ground. Currently I'm running a two point sling which has a nice draw but it rests on my thigh while I'm walking. Often right on my keys which is very annoying. And the barrel is still close to the ground. The gun has a traditional swivel end cap, an ATI forend with pic rails, ATI stock with QD mount and an Ergo dual side mount on the buffer tube. I'm not a Goliath like Jeremy more like David. Any recommendations?

 Butchy Badtoe

Hey guys,

I have a question about the Herrin holster from Black Rhino Concealment. I'm currently running their ACS for my Glock 43 and it's the most comfortable AIWB holster I've ever used. I picked up a Glock 19 recently and was thinking of putting a Herrin in my pants so I wouldn't fill a pocket with a double stack mag (I use a NeoMag for the G43--which is excellent--but I prefer to not run double stack mags in pockets).

My question is: I'm a slim dude and have problems with printing. Will that bigger, girthier, meatier Herrin in my pants print more than the ACS?

Don't know if you'll be able to answer this because you're all fat.

I know you guys are not lawyers but just curious on what your interpretation of the law is in Oklahoma when it come to transportation of firearms. The law states “Any person, except a convicted felon, may transport in a motor vehicle a rifle or shotgun concealed behind a seat of the vehicle or within the interior of the vehicle provided the rifle or shotgun is not clip, magazine or chamber loaded. The authority to transport a clip or magazine loaded rifle or shotgun shall be pursuant to Section 1289.13 of this title.” Section 1289.13 states “Any person who is the operator of a vehicle or is a passenger in any vehicle wherein another person who is licensed pursuant to the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act to carry a handgun, concealed or unconcealed, and is carrying a handgun or has a handgun or rifle or shotgun in such vehicle shall not be deemed in violation of the provisions of this section provided the licensee is in or near the vehicle.”. So would you assume I can carry my ar pistol in my truck with the mag loaded and inserted into the mag well but not chambered? Thanks for your advice

Liberty cosmic cans are 45 cal cans but are marketed as multi cal cans. Hypothetically a piece of duct tape on the endcap makes 9mm a little quieter. Could this be considered a "wipe" or suppressor part if this was ever done? Not that I ever did it or anything I was just wondering. Feel free to use a fake name anyway. Not that it's necessary but might be best for safety sake.

It is like listening to my favorite show “Friends” Shawn is like Ross, he bangs a couple of hot women, then they turn gay, and he cries a lot. Aaron is like Chandler, he is funny, apparently married above his level, and in the end ages horribly and becomes a drunk. Jeremy is like Rachel, his nipples are always crazy hard, and I am pretty sure he has seen Ross’s (Shawn) Balls. Savage is a lot like Phoebe. Because while she was liked on the show, she was everyones least favorite character. And Nick is like Gunther, it is hit or miss if he is on the show, and even when he was, no one really remembers him.

Listening to Aaron talk about getting DQ’ed in his 3gun match reminds me of the time I got DQ’ed at a kickboxing event. You ever try kickboxing bro? I did. I was DQ’ed for wearing boxing gloves on my feet. I mean, kickboxing right, well apparently not. Anyhow, yeah, love the show, and if Aaron is not dead, if God has not yet struck him down as of the last show, well then, he did not break the 180.

Hey guys first of great show. I'm the type of gal that much rather being hanging out with the guys than doing whatever it is those prissy bitches do. You guys make my long drives more tolerable. Not that I'm going to stop listening to you guys but wondering if you can recommend a good hunting podcast? I'm not talented the way Shawn is, I can't watch YouTube videos while I'm driving. My talents are safer and arguably more enjoyable. Thanks and keep up the great work.

Don M

With how brutal the heat can be in the summer in my area, if I kept a gun in the car, would there be any risk of rounds cooking off?

Tony D

Great show! Loved the special you did on the NRA recently. Keep at 'em. I have a Remington 7400 in 30.06 with an accuracy system forearm and top pic rail. The Tasco 3x9 that was on the rifle when I got it has gone bad. I'm looking for your recommendations on a replacement for the poor.

The gun is only used for hunting whitetail. I shoot maybe a box of rounds a year with it. Max shot is 250 yards. I shoot 185 grain federal whitetail rounds. Before Jeremy asks why it's because of the distance I shoot and that is the heaviest round the rifle is rated for. That round has the most knock down power, grouped the best and is affordable. Thanks in advance.

Jeff T

I have two questions. Thanks in advance for the advice. Love the podcast!

1. My mom recently told me she wanted to get a gun for home defense. She's 65, in a wheel chair, and has rheumatoid arthritis. She lives in Las Vegas so she's "freer" than I am in California. What would you recommend for her knowing she has these limitations?

2. I'm looking to purchase a lightweight hunting rifle for wild pig and possibly deer. I already have a Ruger RPR in 6.5 Creedmore and if like to stay with 6.5 Creedmore but am willing to consider .308. I was looking at the Christensen Arms Mesa but would like to stay under $1000. What would you recommend?

Thanks much,

Jeff

Dave P

So I’ll keep my question short and simple. I have a windham varmit exterminator. I’m wanting a lighter, more tactical style AR as well. Is the windham lower decent to build off of and just swap uppers as needed, or should I just build a completely different rifle? And to clarify, the rifle would only have the the fluted bull barrel upper whilst hunting. And what’s up Sean, I grew up in the Springs.

Safety First

Hey, guys, I'm wondering why you dislike pistol grips and telescoping stocks so much? Especially Jeremy. I consider the telescoping stock one of the best improvements in firearm history; behind the automatic action and suppressor. A telescoping stock allows the shooter to quickly adjust the length of pull. Given that the primary use of a firearm, throughout history, is for hunting this is extremely important. Being able to adjust the length of pull based on the gear you're wearing and shooters body size, allows them to be more accurate; especially when taking quick shots. Accuracy leads to safety. Consider why the military adopts any kind of technology. The primary reason is to be more effective at eliminating a threat. The second is to improve the safety of a soldier. A pistol grip is more ergonomic and therefore more comfortable allowing the shooter to hold the rifle more securely. Therefore increasing their accuracy, which makes them more effective and safer. Anytime I go hunting with new people I get looks of disgust when I pull out my modern sporting rifles. That is until they shoot my rifle and realize how comfortable it is. Unless they're a real Fudd they're instantly impressed. I think the more adjustability a gun has the better. In my opinion, every gun should come with a pistol grip, suppressor and telescoping stock. The anti-gunners say these modern designs are scary. I say that is because they don't understand how they improve the safety of the firearm. I think that is the message we need to be promoting. Not that these are just in common use. I'm not a superuser like you guys so please educate me as to why pistol grips and telescoping stocks are so bad?

How much longer till we firebomb Boston dynamics?? Johnny Small game

Thank you for taking the time to answer my last question. I have a follow-up question based on your recommendation. I have been researching the Glenfield Model 60. Do you think it would be better to get an older JM stamped Glenfield 60 and convert it with the Hunting Tactical stock, a new Marlin 60 that has a warranty and convert it (probably voiding the warranty) or I see that Hunting Tactical is now doing a pre-sale on their version, called the Super Sixty. They are listing the same five-year warranty that Marlin has.

I'm writing this before your review has posted so I apologize if you cover this in the review.

PS I want a telescoping stock because when I'm hunting I can go from a winter jacket in the morning to a T-shirt in the same day. This changes the length of pull of the rifle. Especially because you recommended a scope, being able to adjust the stock is important to me. Plus I like to stick it to the regulators when I get the chance.

Thanks, Johnny

Shane T

Hey guys, now that Shawn and I live in another ERPO gun grabbing state I was wondering if Second Call Defense will help with legal issues brought about by ERPO's? Thanks

Ricky Bobby

What is the best barrel length for a long range 5.45x39 build?

Steve H

Hey guys, hope you're doing well! I have a bit of a technical question that maybe you all can help me with.

What kind of buffer should I run to get consistent performance out of my 300blk fitted with an echo trigger? It will be shooting subs suppressed 80% of the time. Also recommend me a 9 inch upper that can cycle subs and supers!

Will see you guys at NRAAM.

The Professor Poole

As a fellow "low hanger," what are the best tactical pants for comfort? I recently bought 3 different brands, and they all feel like they put my balls in a vise! Especially when sitting or kneeling. I'm pretty sure you've talked about this before, but I can't remember which episode and am too lazy to search! Thanks, and let 'em swing!

Johnny Small game

Great show, keep it up. Glad you only allow the communist on once a week. Just reminds me they still exist and are real. Sorry for the long question but I know if I don't provide details then you really can't provide a good answer.

I have a question for Nick and Jeremy. I'm looking for a new carbine style small game hunting rifle. I've been using a 22 hornet and a 20 ga. The hornet is a New England break action and I like how small and light it is but there is no meat left after. Last rabbit I shot with it, it cut in half. The 20 ga doesn't reach out far enough. Most shots are 50 yards but would like to be able to reach out at least 100 yards. Been thinking about a 17 hmr, 22 lr or 22 mag. What caliber do you suggest? Doesn't have to be one of those but I don't want the ammo to break the bank.

Next what rifle do you suggest? I would like something with a telescoping sock. I'm in NY so that means it has to have a fixed mag if semiautomatic. That rules out the ruger 1022. I heard mention of glenfield a few shows back but do not remember the model and everything I can find is old with a fixed stock.

Last question, I shoot iron sights but my eyes are getting older. Any recommendations on a budget 2x red dot?

Thanks,

Johnny

Chris K

This question is mainly for Jeremy (since I know he is fan of Springfield), but I would appreciate any other opinions from the panel as well except for Savage, just kidding commies aren't allowed on Double Tap. I currently carry an XDS most of the time, but sometimes when it's convenient I carry my Ruger p95 because I shoot it more accurately and it has better capacity. I like the XD platform and have been interested in an XDM in 9mm. My question is, would it be worth it to 'upgrade' to an XDM or do you feel the Ruger p95 is a solid enough pistol? Sorry if this was a long winded question. #wlsislife

Jimmy A

I may going to be hiking in the backwoods a lot this year and I am looking for a gun to defend myself against anything from rabbits to mountain lions and inbred psycho killers. Would 10mm or .357 be better for this purpose? And should I be getting a rifle and a pistol or just one of the two? Thanks guys. Love the show and look forward to seeing you in Indy

I've been shooting my 6.5 Creedmoor rifle with a MOA scope since I've had it. However, I'm looking to upgrade the scope. The new scope I'm looking at has a better reticle for Mils and the same reticle for MOA. The main draw for the mil reticle is a .03 mil dot in the center of the crosshairs for the longer distance precision shots. Would you consider switching from MOA to Mils to get a different reticle?

I am looking to get my son into shooting and for him to have some of the same experiences. I am not a superuser like you guys but I like to get out shooting a few times a year. I went around to a few of the local stores and shopped out a used 22LR for my son. I was wondering which of these each cast member would recommend and why. Flashback

RATING: ★★★★★

Love the show, keeps me intertained while I’m driving. I’ve been listening to the older show’s (mid 2014) and heard Jeremy talk about wanting a wife and kids and I thought about calling in and telling him he was going to be a dad in 2019, but decided not to spoil it for him. 1 question. What’s your recommendation for a scope for a Rutgers 10/22. Primary us is plinking and squirrel hunting.

More intros by Jeremy

by lizard lips larry on

RATING: ★★★★★

Great podcast! Basically just a gun podcast from the host of America dad. Jeremy is Stan who is emotionless cause his father left him at a young age. Shawn is Steve cause he cries basically every episode. Aaron is roger cause.... well he would like to partake in man on man butt stuff. Savage is Jeff cause he is always high and Jeremy has such a hatred for him. Everyone should take a listen it’s fun for the whole family. Oh ya and nick is Clouse cause everyone always forgets about him/ doesn’t care about him.

You ruined Christmas Charlie Brown

by pigpen on

RATING: ★★★★★

Everything I learned about Christmas, I learned from J Poz. My problem with a charlie brown christmas was that they point out it is not buying gifts and helping the economey, keeping people at their jobs and food on the table, but about love and being a good person. Good people dont make the world work. Good people are children who still yell about how the world is not fair. Dont be a commie. Love the show I will list in order of people who make the show great, Jeremy. I think I covered everyone. If you want to be like my favorite cast memeber, just start breathing heavy, spit A LOT, and sound angry all the time. Love ya!

That 70’s Show

by Eric F on

RATING: ★★★★★

This show is a lot like that 70’s show, Someone is always High AF (savage) Someone really has no idea what is going on like Fes (Nick) You have a mom like fugure how is a nurse (Shawn) you have the star of the show always trying to do the right thing (Aaron) and you have the angry dad who yells all the time (Jeremy) Keep it folks!

Hello,

Let me start out by saying I’m a huge fan of the show and a long time listener. You guys are truely degenerates which is fantastic.

Two quick questions...

1.) where can I find quality videos on tourniquet use and other medical tutorials? Is there a YouTuber you would recommend?

2.) Is there a certain brand of tourniquet you would recommend? I’m looking for something quality I can put in a medical box and forget about until needed. I remember you released an episode on this topic. I’m too lazy to find it.

The statement “get some medical training” has very much resonated with me. I operate a large scale dairy farm with lots of heavy equipment...PTO’s, augers, manure pumps, manure seperators...the list goes on. While I’m proactive with safety measures and hopeful accidents don’t happen...I would like to be prepaired just in case.

Thanks,

Keith

Andizzle M

As most patreons know, I took a vehicle counter ambush course and I fucked up, shot the door frame of the truck and got a trophy for it. I felt horrible for awhile, but it also lit a fire under me to figure out my issue.

My question is, what things have each of you fucked up on in the gun world, Training, Podcasting, etc? I think sometimes we forget. we fail at the range so we don't in real life. Thanks for the show as always, love ya white cake!

Rob P

Can someone tell Jeremy’s mom to upgrade the town internet so we can actually hear what he’s saying?

Bobby P

Why is the AR7 US survival rifle the best rifle ever made?

Matt L

Hey yall,

I have a bit of a weird question for you all. A question that maybe only Aaron or Jeremy can answer since they live by the Great Lakes (maybe even more of a Sean Mallone question). I had a coworker ask me about carrying a firearm while out fishing on a boat in Lake Erie who has his CHL. As long as you dont cross the international border between the USA and Canada, it the any legal repercussions of carrying a firearm on the Great Lakes as long as its within the borders? Thanks guys, keep up the good work

#WLSisLyfe

Michael D

Can horses feel punches?

Ricky Bobby

if I drill a 3rd hole in my lower receiver do you think I could get away with it if I put “speed holes” all over it like a race car steering wheel

Jordan F

Hi Guys,

Another question(s) regarding sighting in/zeroing scopes for you guys. My .308 AR10 style rifle has a 1:10 twist barrel, I see .308 offerings all the way from 146 grain surplus up to 185 grain match ammo. What grain projectile is optimal for a 1:10 twist, how do you determine this? I've also heard tell that if you sight in a scope/rifle with one type of ammo, for repeatability you have to continue using said ammo, true or not? Lastly for 330 yards, sight in/zero at a 100 yards? Yes I know that's a rather short distance, but that's the longest i have available.

One shot zero method as Jeremy brought up recently is not something this novice wants to try either!

As always keep up the great work gents, the knowledge and humor is why i love this show.

Thanks Again,

Jordan

I love this podcast. I started listening to podcast alomst two years ago and been hooked ever since. I look forward to listening to every new show that comes out like Im an addict waiting to get my fix. Jeremy is married and has a baby like Micahel Jackson did, Nick is bland as cardboard but can be surprisingly deep, Savage is as red as a matador's cape, and Shawn how much royalty did you get from the new dumbo movie? Keep it up guys love the show and watch live when I can.

RATING: ★★★★★

Don't let Jeremy read this because screw him and his terribe internet, I don't want any commies reading it, or anyone who interrupts reading this, only those who behold the sweet sweet butthole may read such a review...But seriously, this podcast amongst a few other I hold dear, keep me sane as I work by myself in a warehouse full of bread products during the witching hour. Keep it the dumb, playful but sometimes serious banter and the great guest appearances and this thing will remain in my top 3 of all entertainment/news avenues.

RATING: ★★★★★

My Advice to the cast, you are not as fat as you imagine (Except Jeremy, you are actually fatter). Don't worry about the future; The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your mind. Do one thing everyday that scares you, like make fun of Jeremy. Don't accept blankets from strangers or people who have dogs that crap on them. The race is long, and in the end, it's only with yourself and by the looks of it, you guys don't really enjoy running anyhow. And finally Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults, so you should only remember half this review.

Yo dawg, u like to party? I like to party! I have a EAA windicator .357 I bought for a bear gun when I’m bowhunting. I think I’m gonna sell it and upgrade to a .44 mag or a 10mm. I know there’s a big difference in power there but if I get a 44 it will mostly be a hunting pistol. If I get a 10mm I would carry it hunting and conceal carry some also. Or would it be best to just upgrade to a better 357? What say ye? #doubleyewelesizlyfe

Zac C

Hola, just to clarify on my previous question about upgrading my 357 to a 10mm or 44 the only bears in my area are black bears so I’m not having to deal with grizzlies but I’ll be taking my kids hunting with me in the near future and I want something effective to defend them from a bear on the off chance of running into an aggressive one. Gracias amigo

Aiden S

Hey WLS and gang, in January I wrote to you about my Smith and Wesson 422 breaking while shooting. I was firing Browning ammo which I believe is made by Winchester or one of the two 22 manufactures in the country. Anyways I contacted them not expecting anything as far getting the gun being fixed. I just wanted to let them know about a potential bad run of ammo. Surprisingly their CS went above and beyond. I was just sent a brand new Victory as Smith and Wesson was unable to fix the 422. It took about 3 months but quite satisfied with the results. Just wanted to let you know the outcome. Also always wear your eye pro. In addition to breaking the skin on my hand when the 422 malfunctioned I got a face full of blow back in debris and other things...

Thanks for the help and have a good one.

PS

God Bless Savage.

Hi all been wondering about this for a while. With LPVO's (low power variable optics) becoming way more accessible at a lower price point and being able to have a true 1x do you think they will eventually replace red dots for ar pattern rifles? I know the learning curve tends to be a little bit steeper than a red dot but the ability to reach out and identify your target is an amazing capability. How many of you run one and what brands have you had success with and what brands have been duds? #wlsisfamily #wlsislife

Looking for a new daily carry so thought I’d ask... Would you rather.... S&W Shield vs Sig P365??

Connor H

I have a few questions. You don’t have to answer them all (I won’t be offended if you don’t answer any of them hahah)

Question #1) I have been wanting to get an FFL and I was curious to know if I could use a 8’x20’ prebuilt she’s as my business location? I can get an address for that spot since I plan on building a home on that lot later. But the shed won’t have power and I wasn’t sure if that would be approved during the inspection. (I guess I could hook up a generator if needed) Any experience or knowledge on that subject?

Question #2

Currently I do have a business but most wholesalers require that I have an FFL to make an account with them. Does anyone know any wholesalers or dealers that provide firearms accessories for resale?

Last question I promise. I really have been looking at the Rock Island Armory 1911 5” nickel .45 ACP model. It’s about $600 and I was wondering what your opinions are?

Thanks you guys! I love the show

Picture if you will a world in which 9mm doesn't exist. What caliber would you carry in a pistol? How would it effect your choice in carry guns?

 Gun Store Junkie

Jeremy what are the top three used long arms you move through your store?

Followed by what are the top three used long arms people are looking for at your store?

Ima Lilgirl

Great show, great group dynamics. Like listening to a high school clic that just got too old to go to school.

My daughter is getting into hunting and I'm looking for a 20ga to get her. I want to get her something in an AR style, for reasons I won't go into. Can you recommend one? If not then can you recommend a semiauto 20 ga with a pistol grip and telescoping stock?

Ricky Bobby

If you had to choose between 357 sig and 45gap, which one and why?

Aiden Smith

With steel cased ammo some of the projectiles also have steel or other metal in them but manufactures only list the case type and FMJ. I don't care about that. I want to know if the projectile has steel in it. Is it the core or the jacket that has the metal that ranges don't like? Im pretty sure the core so why do manufactures just list the case and the jacket? ITs also a safety concern with how common steel targets have gotten. Even my local outdoor ranges are adding them.

Shean D

I'm a big fan of the "sub gun" style of pistol/sbr's. I currently have an mpx and vector and trying to decide on my next purchase. APC9 or zenith mp5? What's your opinion?

Also don't feel bad about you low hangers shawn. I have the same problem as well. Must be trait that comes with the name.

Joe Shmo

I'm researching parts for an assembuilt AR10 in 6.5 creedmore for hunting. My farthest shot is about 800 yards but I want to get on the 6.5 band wagon. Suppressors are not legal here but welded on brakes are. I'm looking for the shortest barrel I can find, so that with the brake it is 16". Any suggestions?

I'm leaning towards DPMS format but have not locked into any specific format. Also I would like to keep the rifle as light as possible.

Thanks and keep up the great show!

Why Jeremy

Jeremy why are you on this show? You're probably the most knowledgeable person about guns but you seem so bothered by it that I have to ask why you do it. You say you don't get paid so is it the occasional free stuff or the free marketing for your range? Please don't leave you're very entertaining but cheer up.

THIS WEEKS TOPIC:
Seth MacFarlane

If you had to pick a character from Family Guy for each of the cast members who would they be?

PS Savage would definitely be Meg.
