You might be a Gun Nut If:
- if your girlfriend/wife is jealous of the time you spend with your guns
- if your wish list on MidwayUSA totals up to the price of a new car
- if that new car would be a Rolls Royce
- if you're already thinking about your next gun while you're filling out the paperwork on the one you're buying.
- if the guys at the local gun shop send you christmas and birthday cards
- if you own a guns you haven't shot yet
- if you have a room in your house dedicated to guns
- if when someone says "but what if you don't have a gun with you?" and after 15 minutes you still can’t comprehend how that would be possible.
- if the sound of full auto gun fire makes you feel all warm and fuzzy
-if you shook the presents under your tree, and one fired a round out of it.
-if your will specifies your favorite firearm(s) to be buried with you.
-if the Glock Talk logo is burned into your computer monitor.
-if you have had a friend who thought knives were soooo cool and dangerous, then you showed him your AK-47 collection
-if you wonder why you must renew your CCW license every so many years, but your marriage license doesn’t expire.
-if someone asks how many guns you have, and the answer begins with "about" (i.e. "about 50 or so").
-if you took an ink blot test, and your answers were things like "an AR-15 sear", "bolt release from Ruger 10-22", "firing pin from M1911", etc.
-if you know you carry 45 caliber 230 grain JHP Federal Premium® Hydra-Shok®, but don't know the color of your wife's eyes.
-if you have ever shot a hole in something by accident
-if that something was your TV during a Hillary/Trump debate
Thank you for the response and reading my email on your podcast. I would have responded sooner but I didn't realize you emailed me back until I listened to your show. For some reason gmail thought it was spam.
I also appreciate what you both said. I was raised in a Christian house by two loving parents who tried their best to keep me on the straight and narrow. I do want to tell you that about 3 years ago I reaffirmed myself to Christ and was baptised as an adult. The religion I grew up in baptised you as an infant and confirmed you as a teenager. I wanted to re accept Christ as an adult and make my own decision to accept him after years of wandering in darkness.
Again thank you and Troy for everything you both do and bring to the podcast.
I am finally catching up on podcasts after having been on a little bit of a vacation recently.
I heard you read out the email where the person called you guys mister and then your last name.
After listening to you correct him telling them to use your first name it got me laughing about the fact that I call everyone sir or ma'am and when they protest I let them know calmly, gently, but with finality that you will not deprogram 13 years of Alabama living in one visit.
Also when it comes to Jake leaving this week in guns, sadly the show is nearly unwatchable now.
I am trying my level best to give them a fair Shake.
And it reminds me that if you gentlemen ever left God and guns podcast I would be devastated.
So for whatever it's worth I love every episode I can get my ears on, I cherish every time you guys take to the microphone to spread the word and I share your show with every person I can.
If at all possible never leave but if you have too, good luck in whatever comes in the future.
I'm sorry I don't get to watch your live show very often. I would love to be one of the many people that enjoy your show live, but as I think you guys can understand my little girl doesn't want to watch a YouTube video unless it features Elmo so we stick to playing with our books or whatever other non digital toys we have around.
We are a very non screen family, that is to say that the television may be on in the background but my daughter is routinely running around playing with her kitchen or her building blocks or her dolls (Soon we will get her cap gun off the mantle, and put the holster I made to the test).
When we go to restaurants she is typically coloring, we do not except for on very rare occasions allow her to use something with a screen on it.
And to close out this long email which I apologize for you reading through all this, did no-one honestly email you guys about whatever you were giving away?
I listen to your show on a delay so I don't typically email in when you're offering things to the first people that email. But as long as I've reached out to you if you've got anything you want to send my way feel free to.
By the way the God and Guns stickers I ordered from you guys recently get a lot of attention on the side of my toolbox at work.
Keep up the great work and remember if you're ever near the northwest corner of Indiana look me up if nothing else I've got a bed for you to sleep in if you need it.
Your Brother in Christ.
1 Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives to his beloved sleep.
3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth.
5 Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame
when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

NRA Armed Citizen
Felon fatally shot while breaking into rural Idaho home
9/11/17| by Jennifer Cruz
Joseph Lloyd was released from jail two weeks before the break-in and subsequent shooting. A man was shot and killed early Friday morning as he attempted to break into a home located outside of the rural town of Downey, Idaho.
The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased suspect as Joseph Lloyd, 34. Lloyd is from Pocatello, which is about 40 miles north of where the break-in occurred.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, authorities responded to what was described as a “suspicious incident” just after 4 a.m. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found Lloyd had been shot, but no foul play is suspected.
The initial investigation indicates Lloyd, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was shot as he attempted to break into the home, although authorities did not say whether Lloyd was inside the home when the shooting occurred. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed and will determine how many times Lloyd was shot.
The sheriff’s office confirmed there was no further threat to the community and that the break-in and subsequent shooting was an isolated incident. It’s unclear if Lloyd was acquainted with the homeowners or if the break-in was a random crime, but according to the Idaho State Journal, Lloyd has a lengthy criminal history. In fact, he was released from the Bannock County Jail just two weeks ago after having served time for felony drug charges.
No charges are expected to be filed against the homeowner, whose name will not be released. The investigation, thus far, indicates he acted in defense of himself and other family members who were home at the time of the incident, although it’s unclear if Lloyd was armed with a weapon as well. While Idaho is not a “Stand Your Ground” state, state law deems homicide justifiable when it is committed in defense of habitation, property or person against a suspect who endeavors to commit a felony or otherwise offers violence towards any person within the habitation.
