Episode 224 future re review!

by Unicorn7384848: on

RATING: ★★★★★

I was listening to your older episodes and came across episode 224. I couldn't believe you let Aaron have an opinion after that show. I want to know what Aaron thinks now about shooting targets with political figures or anyone they hate? haha these days that's almost as good as that SSBH! Even he can't argue that registration leads to confiscation now in 2019. I see why my iPhone keeps populating the Aaron is not on this episode show! Keep up the good Jeremy! Tell Aaron when to shut the hell up! WLS4Life!

Why I listen to you

by BightBert on

RATING: ★★★★★

Why do I listen to you, well, it is funny, because I listen to you guys argue, and Savage says something to Shawn, and they go back and forth which reminds me of this story, Once upon a time there was a little boy named Savage.

This little boy was born with a straaaaange condition. You see, this little boy was born without a body. He had no arms, no legs, and no torso. He was just a head.

Because he was still a little boy head, he had little boy desires and his parents couldn't bear to see him in his room, just sitting there lonely, nothing to do. So his parents attached his head to a piece of 2x4 board so it would stay upright. I think they used double sided tape, I'm not sure. It could have been glue.

Anyway, they decided to set the little boy's head onto his window sill in his room during the day so he could watch all the other boys across the street play catch in the field. At least then, he could imagine being a regular boy and playing ball outside with other regular boys.

So every day, he watched the other kids play catch, and every night he went to bed he wished really hard to be a normal boy with arms, legs and a torso so he could go across the street and play with the other kids. He was so lonely. All he could do was roll around in his room, because he was nothing but a head.

One particular night, the little boy head had enough. He was becoming depressed, anxious, and he could not hold out any longer. He couldn't do it. This was no life for a little boy, being either taped or glued to a board and spending his days gazing longingly out a window where just across the street was a life he knew he'd never have.

It was just about time for his parents to come and carry him into bed. The sun was dipping below the horizon as he watched all the other boys laugh and fake punch each other as they left the field to go home on their regular legs to their regular lives.

It was then that the little boy saw it. A shooting star...

Quickly, he wished, wished, and wished really hard. This was his last chance, because if this didn't work, he might become depressed forever and watch television for the rest of his days. He wished for the biggest wish of all, that he might become a regular little boy with regular arms and regular legs so he could go play with the other regular boys. After some time of wishing very hard, he fell asleep on the window sill. His mother came and tucked him in as he slumbered.

The next morning, blanket up to his chin, he awoke to the sound of cheerful birds singing and rays of sunlight peeking through his curtains drawing shapes on his bedroom wall. He could hear the regular boys playing across the street, laughing and joking gleefully.

Still groggy from sleep, he felt something. Something under the covers. Looking down, it was as though someone put pillows down there. But he was the pillows? He could move? HE HAD A BODY???

He THREW the covers off to discover a full body! Like the force of a thousand lightning bolts he jumped out of his bed and darted through the bedroom door, and all the way out the front door before his parents had even had a chance to respond to all the racket.

Across the lawn he ran, fast as any regular boy he'd ever seen. This was amazing! He was a regular boy!

He reached the pavement of the street separating his yard from the field where the boys were playing ball. In a sheer moment of triumph, the new regular boy reached the center of the street, gaining speed, and all the other regular boys turned their heads toward him...

Their surprise gave way to horror as the blare of the horn of an 18-wheeler preceded the sickening "THWACK" sound as the full weight of that vehicle slammed into the kid at a full 55 miles per hour, completely obliterating him. It was all slow motion, but it happened so fast. And if that kid had any shoes on him, they'd have been knocked clean to Kansas.

There was a lot of grief, lives broken, things that could not be unseen. That little boy's family buried him two days later. All the regular boys attended. It was a solemn occasion, but they remembered the headstone the most. And on the headstone read, "Quit while you're ahead."

I love this show, it has everything, Gun smarts, (Jeremy) White Cake Loving Shawn (I won't even drink my coffee black if you know what I mean) a hard-working heavy lifting sidekick, Nick. But get rid of that Jew, Aaron, we could use less of them running the media and I also feel bad for Savage, He has TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome. But then I heard he has a brown wife, and that explains everything. Send her Back Savage. #MAGA

Since Nick is the NPR of gun pod casting and Paul Harrell is the NPR of traditional youtube content can we see a team up some time. They are both monotone and low voices and surprise you with the info they give. Also when they lose it they lose it (Voda) with Nick.

Also Lynch & Harrell just sounds right.

My fiance has "loaned" her sister a handgun for over two years now. Could my fiance be held liable in any way if her sister ever used it in a crime or self defense?

Shawn S

Why does everybody hate on the .40 S&W cartridge? Thanks for your time guys.

Stan H

Hey WLS, who would be your go to OWB kydex holster maker? For everyday all day carry. Need a tough rig to fit a Walther PPQ 5".

Waldo F

Just heard the pod cast, kinda fan girled out you guys read my question about the LR308 build anyways the twist rate on my barel is 1:8 and the ammo I've been using is L2A2 146gr fmj. We've also tried various hand loads of 165grand some 150grs as well. Everything else on the rifle has stayed the same. Also the handrail does not touch the gas block and I've eliminated the wobble between the upper and lower. Thanks again guys.

Max F

I know Jeremy is really the goto person for most of my firearm questions, but this one is a bit out there. I have been hunting for a while, even have a great dog who retrieves the ducks I pluck from the sky with my Browning Wicked Wings A5, I like this shotgun because it can chamber 3 ½ shells. I got it in the Realtree pattern with the receiver and barrel cerakoted burnt bronze, looks so good, anyhow my question for Jeremy is, how can I tell if my dog is gay. I assumed he would have the most knowledge on these things.

Spencer K

I was watching Rambo Part II and I was wondering where he got those exploding arrows from? I don’t recall seeing them while I was in the service, but I think if we would have been issued those instead of the M14’s back in ‘Nam, we could have just won that war. Anyhow, I have a big issue on my property of stray cats and think this would be the best management device. The triplines to the claymores I set out don't work as the cats just seem to walk over them, however, I did lose a couple of dogs to them. Damn, I am going to miss those dogs. So any leads would be greatly appeciated. Thanks, Keep up the great Show.

Not all Heros wear capes

by Jor-El on

RATING: ★★★★★

If all of you were members of the Avengers, Jeremy would be the Hulk, because the secret is out, he is always angry Sean would have to be Iron Man because he is into tech and kind of the leader of this group. Nick would be Thor, because of his beard, and his desire to ride the rainbow bridge into any man's life, Savage would not be Black widow, even though she is the Russian connection, no he would be Ant-man… because he is small and finally Aaron Would SHIELD, not Captian American’s shield but the organization, the reason is simple, while I am sure Aarons intentions are good, he has a lot of corruption running rampant inside of him.

Hey guys, I am a sweater. The yucky kind, not the terrible Christmas gift you get from your grandma. As big guys yourselves, I assume you are also sweaters (as opposed to screamers or moaners #ssb). So my question is, what is the best lube/protection to protect a carry gun from my crying fat cells? (I work outside in the heat and humidity so I am constantly trying to prevent rust)

Thanks,

***** Five Stars***** I would leave you guys a review but I despise social media. However, I want to thank you for recommending a Super Sixty rifle in my last question. I pre-ordered one and received it a few weeks ago. You guys did not do the adjustability of this rifle justice, in your recommendation. I absolutely love it.

This is the most comfortable and most fun rifle I have ever shot. I'm still playing with all the adjustments on it, seeing what works best for me. Once I decide on an optic for it, it will be complete. Right now I'm using the iron sights and the rifle will out shoot my old eyes at 100 yrds all day long. I love that the stock angles down for the perfect sight picture. I put a magpul angled forgrip on it and the rifle is just so firm and comfortable to hold. The other day I did a mag-dump into a woodchuck that was running and obliterated it. With the adjustable post-travel screw, I can't outshoot the action.

Thanks again for the recommendation, I'll be coming to you guys whenever I have a question from now on.

Deer Slayer

Wondering what ammo you would recommend for a 9 MM PCC that is used to shoot Whitetail Deer out to 50 yards? It is the start of the Nuisance season here and my buddy loaned me his Kel Tec sub2000 to try out. Not the rifle I will go with when I purchase my own but it will work for me to test out using a short rifle while I'm in the fields. I'm thinking about getting some Federal SYNTECH PCC. Wondering if it will get the job done.

Aiden S

Im curious what nick and Jeremy think about this one. Bird shot for self defense? Also why do people suggest high brass for number 8 shot and smaller buck shot loads?

Patterning the gun im getting just above open hand sized groups with the majority in my palm at 7 yards.

Not terribly concerned about over penetration but It is a slight concern but I know the layout of my house and only one other person in here and they are at the back. And the neighbors are about 20 feet away.

Just curious of your thoughts.

Is Aaron A God?

RATING: ★★★★★

If Aaron cant die, and he is as old as you say he is, is there a chance that he is a God, or maybe just someone cursed to walk this earth until the beetis takes his feet, then cursed to roll this earth. Also if he is cursed, it would explain why he is pretending to be a jew, it keeps him away from the cross, but maybe that is just vampires, not really up on my diety lore these days.

Hey guys my twin and I have been stumped on this LR308 build we have it just wont group. I used to have a sucky PSA barrel in it 18" SS midlength and would group decently with target fmj. I thought to support faxon, brownells, and you guys by getting a 7.62 NATO 16.5" mid gas from faxon on brownells using your link. I took it shooting and it wouldnt group at all. I used a vortex prism sight, then took off the sight and threw on a vortex 1x4 crossfire and still the same. I put a heavy buffer to help out you guys think it would it be a barrel issue or what I'm stumped I'm chasing patterns at the range. Anyways thanks guys for keeping me entertained while on duty at my post.

Tony living in the closet

Five Stars. Great show with lots of great product reviews. Actually just bought those glasses that Aaron recommended. Not bad for a cheap pair of safety glasses. They're too large for my face and tight on the side of my head but you really got a lot for the $25. I'm always losing my sunglasses so I can't pay for good ones.

Wondering if you could help me with a recommendation for a new hunting vest. I've been hearing a lot of these "tactical" hunters asking questions and figure maybe its time I come out of the closet with my modern hunting styles too.

I currently use a UTG vest. I know you guys bash on their quality but this vest has really held up well for the last five years. I hunt all year round, often every day of the week. My problem is it doesn't fit me unless I'm wearing a heavy jacket under it. The vest is one size fits all with a lot of adjustment. But even with all the adjustments in the smallest settings I still have to pin it smaller across the back; or else it falls off my shoulders. I'm 5'7" and 145 lbs. Maybe this is a question best suited for Savage since he is also small and hacks crap together to work.

I have a lot of add-ons on it like a dump pouch for gloves, a pouch Garmin Alpha, multitool, compass, a holster for my second pistol (yes I carry a 22 pistol in the chest holster and my 9mm on the waist) and knife. I use all the mag pouches for carrying different calls, spare ammo, med kit, and everything. I also use the loops on it to attach different packs to. I like how the belt attaches to the vest so the weight of all the gear is on my shoulders.

Any suggestions for a comparable vest that comes in a size that will fit me? I wear a medium size shirt.

Glad to hear that Shawn is making an attempt to change his diet. I have some information for Nick to help protect his investment in Shawn's SSB. I didn't catch what he was attempting to change his diet too. If I can make a suggestion to increase the value of that SSB; it would be to change to a Whole Food Wild Meat-based diet. Not only is it a great diet but then you can get Shawn to send you on hunting trips with his Herrin money.

The reason Shawn gets cranky when changing his diet is that he is impacting the level of bacteria in his guts. Those on the Standard American Diet (SAD) have a high level of bacteria in their intestines. This is due to the extreme amount of sugar consumed in processed foods. Those bacteria communicate with your brain via the Vagas nerve. This causes your brain to release more food from your Stomach. When there is no more sugar for the bacteria to eat they get angry (because they're starving). They then release chemicals into your body that impacts your mood. This will last for about three weeks. This time table will change based on any fluctuations in the amount of sugar Shawn is eating.

When the bacteria finally die they will send out signals to other bacteria that they are under attack. This will cause the other bacteria, like those on the skin, to respond. This will most likely result in acne for a while. Take advantage of this time as it will be like the SSB of a young boy.

In the end, Shawn will have a healthier SSB that will heal faster making it worth more on the open market.

P.S. When I changed to this diet I lost 45 lbs in three months, dropped my cholesterol 100 points and went from borderline high blood pressure to borderline low blood pressure.

Riley reid I'd lick that SSBH

I am currently building a 14.5" ar build and I am wondering which lower I should choose if it really matters. After doing research I have learned that forged 7075 t6 are the strongest receives that are made. However, Anderson, PSA, Aero and BCM all use the these lowers that are Hardcoat Anodized per MIL-A-8625F, Type III, Class 2.

So with all of them being made to the same specs does it really matter, or are you just paying for the rollmark on the side?

Thank you all and please don't let the commie on Double Tap again. #KeepDoubleTapCommieFree

If I take a 1 liter bottle of water and put it on the end of my AR 15, do I need to register that water bottle as a suppressor and pay a $200 tax stamp for it being a single use suppressor? And yes, it works as a suppressor, I did it in Iraq.

Beste "Ons hou van skiet"

Please excuse me. I can like to speak English very deliciously, but my mother’s tongue is Afrikaans.

I am from Cape Town in the Communist Republic of South Africa. Here we have gun registration that currently is leading to confiscation. With our gun laws being so strict we are normally only allowed 4 weapons (a "self-defense" handgun, along with a second handgun, a shotgun and a bolt action rifle for sport/hunting) unless one prove to the state that you are more dedicated than the rest then you may have a semi auto rifle and shotgun. To obtain any of the mentioned one need to jump through loads of hoops, write tests, do a background check and then wait basically a year for your permission card... that’s now for each weapon separately.

I have now reached the point where I am allowed to ask permission to own a SLR.

So... the question is what SLR should I get.

The options I have access to here (and can afford, yes I am a poor) are the:

Bushmaster WM-15 QRC 16", 1 in 8" twist

Ruger AR-556 16", 1 in 8" twist

S&W M&P15 sport or sport ii 16", 1 in 9" twist

Or should I just get myself a Norinco Type 56 AK47.

It would mainly be used for plinking but I would like to be able to do some sport shooting in the future.

Love the show. Jeremy come stay in South Africa your likelihood of getting a "stateside" is higher than in America. Cape Town is the 11th most dangerous City in the World.

Regards

Heini

Hey y’all! Quick question! (Fingers crossed the whole cast is there when you get to this one.) Alright the time has come to go ahead and get the suppressor circus started and I’ve been trying to nail down a good all around multican. I was really looking at deadair/griffin and others for a while but now since y’all have a sponsorship with bowers i think I might let them pop my can cherry. I’ll primarily being shooting 9mm/223/556 and 300blk. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! #wlsislife #stoplettingnickhavedaysoff

Hello from the horrible commie state of New York. I want to start out by saying I love the show. You guys are hilarious and informative. Except for Shawn he's not funny at all but he is a great host. In a recent episode you guys talk about selling your hair and I think that's a great idea. I have several crimes that I may or may not want to commit and I need some scapegoats the frame. Leaving your hair at murder scenes should be good enough to clear me and land the whole group in prison. Don't worry I think you guy will have a great time. Jeremy can finally get his state side and with that ssb you guys could live like kings. Keep up the good work, love the show and remember registration always leads to confiscation, a good commie is a dead commie and diabetes kills.

Just be glad I did.

I don't have one of those clever, drawn out reviews like the rest of you attention whores. I just listen because I too am fat, kinda angry, alittle annoying, bald and like shooting. My ears are normal size and my #SSB is not bleached so I'm kinda out of my league here. Just keep doing what you guys do, you are all an asset to the community, I will continue to support you until the apocalypse, then someone else can support you while I gather my bartering material. #WLSislife #SSB

A show featuring the #SSB ATM with ears (Shawn), a man two cheeseburgers away from fatal heart disease (Nick), a man who wants your wife as much as he wants your gold (Aaron), a living embodiment of gun knowledge and hate personified (Jeremy), and a stand-in penis substitute (Savage).

But in all seriousness, one of the best gun podcasts out there, full of tons of humor, insight, and free of politics, something that's endemic in many others.

ps, Shawn needs his Glock 43 chamber adjusted to fit 33 round magazines, if you know what I'm sayin'.

Chris, my dearest Chris, I could spend eternity gazing into your twinkling eyes through your crystal-clear glass. I know you feel it too - the passion that burns inside us both. I can't help but wonder, every time I hear the name whispered softly and sweetly..."Swamp Fox".... what your erector tubes are like...

We may have never met, Chris, but I can't help but believe that every time I look through a scope that's not a Swamp Fox it's your voice I hear whispering gently "...get that piece of sh*t off your rifle, put a Patriot on there".

Now that Jeremy has an awkward boner and Chris from Swamp Fox knows how I really feel about him, here's the actual WLS review. WLS is, in my opinion, the best firearms/2A podcast out there. It's a perfect synthesis of offensive comedy, information, news, reviews and dick jokes. Each member of the cast brings something to the table that creates a Thanksgiving feast of a show... except for Savage, because Communism.

Love the show. The panel is entertaining, relatable, dynamic, and informative. They balance humor, disfunction, and information in a way we all can relate to. #WLSisLife and #WLSisFamily is a brand which the these guys stand behind. the Patreon access is worth it for the unedited shows. and on Wednesdays you get to Double Tap the #SSBH.

Dear Chris Cox,

I have an insatiable urge to write this. The feelings your optics are causing is confusing and making me doubt my relationships with all the other high end optics. I would love to compare what it is like with one from the other side. All of the performance and I can still have the cash to buy ammo and more optics. What is the downside? I dont know if it is too soon, but I think I am in love. But best to send me one, to mak sure.

"Apocolyptic Currency"

A poem by Mother Trucker

If you looking for a podcast

To inform and entertain

There's five guys here that fit the bill

To ease your content pain

It's a show called We Like Shooting

And another called Double Tap

Where the guests are filled with knowledge

And the hosts are full of crap

There's a fatass dude with Beetus

Born of the Jewish race

And a Reddit-reading commie

With a goofy, thumb-like face

There's an ogre from Ohio

Who owns a range, and lots of guns

And a Colorado Chia pet

Who always gets the runs

Of course we can't forget the man

Who makes this gunship fly

He's so invested in this industry

Sometimes it makes him cry

He's the holder of the Buttcoin

An apocolyptic currency

He's our leader, our Cult Father

All hail his #SSB!

If you experience your' Kingslayer' staying turned on for more than 4 hours, you may have a crush on Swampfox CEO, Christopher D Cox! Wow; what a name! I was driving to work and listening to WLS like normal. Suddenly, I heard a voice I haven't heard before. A voice so smooth and lovely, it melted my heart in an instant. Chris, I hope you read this, because I'm pretty smitten. I'll probably sell my Strike Eagle so I can buy one of his LVPO optics. Oh Chris, please call me. I may have to start cashing in my #SSB so I can buy one of everything. Love you xoxo

Until the full cast can admit registration is confiscation, they should be deducted 2 stars! But, it's the guests that help make up for the shortcomings...and none so much to date as Chris Cox from Swampfox optics. It was his interview that finally got me off my but to leave a review. Thanks to Jeremy and his team for a great show. And thanks to Chris and a series of great guests that help make the show what it has become.

RATING: ★★★★★

I have been a listener since episode 14, and this show never disappoints! Another amazing show, Big Daddy Pozderac and His Enforcer Nick once again Nailed It! And by It, I'm referring to Lady of the Night Shawn, that SSB is the only currency that will last through the apocalypse. Despite the constant pounding Shawn managed to make several great insights, proving that even a man of great comedic timing can possess talent. The Socialist 1R was not present, so no updates on his Commie State (that no one cares about) was mentioned. Keep up the great work.T-BozPS, Only a gullible democratic would say that registration does not lead to confiscation, and by gullible democratic I mean, short bus window licker. That's the express purpose for registration, I bet Aaron also denies that the Holocaust took place.

Pro Tip: use Shawn's ears as handle bars when cashing in on that sweet apocalypse currency.

I want to start out by saying this is a paid review. I am unable to disclose the amount or who is paying, butt SH is the initials. This podcast like previously stated will make you text 741741 with some guests, though the attention to the listeners and the current news is next to only 2 other podcasts that I can think of off the top of my head. Double Tap and this week in guns. Don’t let this discourage you. You will be sucked in quicker than diarrhea from a certain leaders SSB. I will continue to listen and enjoy the reviews and discussions. Their YouTube channel is a great way to find new items that they have acquired for review. Godspeed and good luck. I’d give them at least a 4.9/5

I have an AR-10 lower I'm looking to build.

All my shots will be less than 1,000 yards.

Is there really any benefit to choosing 6.5 Creedmoor over .308, other than the opportunity to be a caliber hipster and pay more per round with the 6.5?

K  Dubbs

This question is not for Shawn or Savage. I know Shawn’s answer and savage is a poor. Just kidding but seriously. What’s your opinion on the p938? I’m a fan of pocket carry and cocked and locked is not a concern. I’m especially interested in Jeremy and Nicks opinion since they have a lot of pistols in and out of their stores.

Thanks!

Shotgun Her

Thank you for the responses to my question regarding a sling set up for my 870. I have a follow-up question and rebuttal for Jeremy. I am using a cheap vickers style sling currently. It mounts on the front pic rail which is out a ways from the receiver. There is no real way, unless you suggest one, to mount it closer to the receiver (remember this is a pump shotgun). What I'm really trying to accomplish is getting the barrel end up a little higher. I have tried to just reposition the center point of the sling over my shoulder but the gun just settles back down. Maybe there just isn't a good option IDK. I'm considering a Magpul MS4 sling but do not want to spend $60 on a sling that is not going to solve my problem. Thoughts?

For Jeremy walking with the gun in your hands while hunting is so 20th century. In 2019 we non-FUDDs like to keep our hands free. If I'm running the dogs I need my hands for my Garmin Alpha to see where the dogs are and still need to be able to snap up if the rabbit comes by or bird flushes. If I'm just walking to and from my hunting spot I need my hands free to get up the hills, moving branches out of the way, catch myself from falling and doing all the other things that you use your hands for while hiking. But if I kick a deer or something I want to be able to draw quick and get a good shot off. When I wrote my last email I was in the woods waiting for the sun to come up while Turkey hunting. I carry my decoys in my pack. After the first couple of hours, I get up and start stalking birds based on where they are Gobbling. I'm not expecting to kick any birds until I get close to the sounds but you never know. I like to have the gun ready but not in my hands. With so many new accessory options out there, there is no reason to hold your gun all the time just to maintain readiness. Same concept as when we carried our AR's crossbody in the service.

Josh R

Gentlemen - I need a recommendation for woods carry, but there a few parameters to take into consideration:

1) First and worst, I'm in the gulag of the People's Republic of Massachusetts where we have severe restrictions on what pistols we peasants are ALLOWED to purchase.

2) I hike/bike in the backcountry of southern New England (CT, MA, NH, VT) so I'm primarily concerned about black bears and not grizzlies or hogs.

2) It needs to be a weapon I can easily carry on me, probably in a Maxpedition-syle tear-open pouch. I also prefer semi-auto > revolvers.

3) The possible candidates I currently have are Glocks 19 & 27 (purchased before I moved to MA), and an M&P 45c.

4) It is possible to buy off-roster weapons on the secondary market.

Here are my actual questions:

Should I get a Glock 21 or 30 on the secondary market that I could convert to 45 super or 10mm?

OR is a weapon I already own good enough if I use specialty ammo like Xtreme Penetrator or Buffalo Bore hard cast flat nose? (I'd use those in a G21/30 as well.)

OR is there another option that would fit these parameters I'm not considering?

Thanks for your expertise, and sorry for the long question.

Zac C

Can I have Aaron’s new suppressor before he breaks it?

Got change for a $20?

Where am I?

When will this question be answered?

Michael E

I would like to build a WLS inspired upper. I’d like this upper to be a short barreled upper in 5.56. What parts am I ordering guys?

Kevin C

Every movie on the table, which movie character is each cast member like? For example Shawn is most like the guy in Pulp fiction the is locked up in the basement. #SSB

Steve N

I know you can't take a SBR across state lines without ATF approval, but what if you switch out the up with one that has a 16" barrel? Would it still be an SBR and need approval?

Thanks!

Love the show! I was talking to Shawn about dry lube vs wet lube and i mentioned i would torture test hi-points to compare the two. In return you have to torture test that ssbh with wet lube and dry lube and report the results. #wlsislife #savageisacommie #ssbh #apacolypsecurrency

This show has everything from gun news to Shawn battling Peyronie’s disease. Aaron I know why you probably played football in high school, to get the quarter back. It’s funny because you’re Jewish. Jeremy I’m glad that after 27 first cousins on your dads side and a bunch more on your moms side, you finally locked one down. In all seriousness, this show provides a wealth of knowledge and has something for everyone. Their online friendship grew from trolling the internet making fun of grandmas on a yarn knitting forum to what you see today. No matter how much We Like Shooting has grown, they still make time to interact with fans of the show. At the end of the day, you have built a great community of 2nd amendment supporters who are making a positive impact by spreading the good word. By the way I advise everyone to become a Patreon because of the unedited version otherwise the entire show sounds like two battleships sending Morse Code back and forth. PS: I’m getting paid in stickers to leave this review #SSBFORCURRENCY #lilback

I love the show! Full of good info, and stupid funny content that will make everyone at work look at you like you’re retar... stupid. Jeremy is my spirit animal, because *beep* everyone! Aaron is way too exciting about Shawn’s SSB, like he wants to find Shawn’s new 1000 lumen flashlight up there. Thank God Savage finally died, I’m sure Nick would love to have way with him in the after life, if only he would have stayed in the grave. But seriously y’all, great show, I never miss an episode. Keep it up (shut up Aaron)!

Scott W

Hey Guys, I am intrigued by this idea of converting pistols to rifles. I have a collection of aging rifles and shotguns that I use for hunting and plinking at the range. I have been wanting something newer that can also be used as a defensive weapon. I am considering getting an AR pistol lower that I can get multiple uppers to and possibly eliminate some of these older rifles; that I don't much care for but have a use for. I have never ventured down this realm and was hoping you guys could explain what the difference between an AR Pistol, and SBR is in technical terms. Is it the length of the barrel, overall length or its features?

My thoughts are I could use this new pistol/rifle as a 22, 9mm, 556 and something in the 30 cal range. Thereby eliminating at least two of my rifles and adding two calibers to my collection. Any advice on this? Thanks and keep up the great work.

PS this form is not very mobile friendly and is probably why you have so many typos and grammar errors in the questions you get.

Phoenix A

Jeremy, im building an AR-10 and i need an opinion. Should i go 308. Or 6.5 creedmoor? I want it to be good for hunting and long range comp. and yes i know i will never get as accurate as a bolt action. P.S. ALL HAIL THE SWEET SWEET BUTTHOLE.

What are your top 3 online sites for gun info and news?

Hey sexy bitches!

I’m looking for an AR barrel that is chambered in 7.62x39. But this one is special..... it needs to be 14.5” with a pined/welded compensator.

I reached out to Faxon but still waiting for a response. Why are your thoughts? Know of any other higher quality manufactures that will make this unicorn?

Peace out bitches!

Aiden S

What did y’all think about Game of Thrones? We talked about Game of Thrones and endgame in a few episodes but never mentioned after the last one. I think it was because of the Episode 300 debacle And how that threw off the show releases. Anyways just wanted to know what you thought of GoT.

Aaron please don’t ever subvert my expectations.

Jesse V

Hey guys. What’s everyone’s opinion on modifying carry guns (triggers, stippling, etc)? I’ve heard the argument that it’s dangerous because perhaps they won’t be as reliable. Or that it can look bad in court because you modified your gun. Thoughts? Thank you. Please don’t have Savage read this because I don’t want my question butchered.

Shawn, your head is huge, but thank god you got those ears to balance everything out. Savage… I got nothin.

Wondering if you can give me some advice on a sling for my 870? I have both a bird and slug barrel for it. I often hunt with a pack on so traditional shoulder carry results in a slow clunky draw and is always slipping off of my shoulder. I tried a single point sling but while it had a fast smooth draw it was always bouncing against my leg and the barrel was hitting the ground. Currently I'm running a two point sling which has a nice draw but it rests on my thigh while I'm walking. Often right on my keys which is very annoying. And the barrel is still close to the ground. The gun has a traditional swivel end cap, an ATI forend with pic rails, ATI stock with QD mount and an Ergo dual side mount on the buffer tube. I'm not a Goliath like Jeremy more like David. Any recommendations?

2. How can we change the negative perceptions on firearms of people that on most everything else we are aligned? It baffles me.

 Butchy Badtoe

Hey guys,

I have a question about the Herrin holster from Black Rhino Concealment. I'm currently running their ACS for my Glock 43 and it's the most comfortable AIWB holster I've ever used. I picked up a Glock 19 recently and was thinking of putting a Herrin in my pants so I wouldn't fill a pocket with a double stack mag (I use a NeoMag for the G43--which is excellent--but I prefer to not run double stack mags in pockets).

My question is: I'm a slim dude and have problems with printing. Will that bigger, girthier, meatier Herrin in my pants print more than the ACS?

Don't know if you'll be able to answer this because you're all fat.

I know you guys are not lawyers but just curious on what your interpretation of the law is in Oklahoma when it come to transportation of firearms. The law states “Any person, except a convicted felon, may transport in a motor vehicle a rifle or shotgun concealed behind a seat of the vehicle or within the interior of the vehicle provided the rifle or shotgun is not clip, magazine or chamber loaded. The authority to transport a clip or magazine loaded rifle or shotgun shall be pursuant to Section 1289.13 of this title.” Section 1289.13 states “Any person who is the operator of a vehicle or is a passenger in any vehicle wherein another person who is licensed pursuant to the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act to carry a handgun, concealed or unconcealed, and is carrying a handgun or has a handgun or rifle or shotgun in such vehicle shall not be deemed in violation of the provisions of this section provided the licensee is in or near the vehicle.”. So would you assume I can carry my ar pistol in my truck with the mag loaded and inserted into the mag well but not chambered? Thanks for your advice

Liberty cosmic cans are 45 cal cans but are marketed as multi cal cans. Hypothetically a piece of duct tape on the endcap makes 9mm a little quieter. Could this be considered a "wipe" or suppressor part if this was ever done? Not that I ever did it or anything I was just wondering. Feel free to use a fake name anyway. Not that it's necessary but might be best for safety sake.

Well thanks guys, you really showed what we have to look forward to.The audio was the worst I’ve ever heard (Jeremy), the worthless contrarian that fetches Shawn’s drinks asked even more stupid questions than normal, Shawn took 15 mins to tell us that Tony Simon needs to keep shedding those pounds, and I don’t remember if the commie was there, and Shawn’s son is apparently dead of recurrent illness Great start to the next 300 boys!

It is like listening to my favorite show “Friends” Shawn is like Ross, he bangs a couple of hot women, then they turn gay, and he cries a lot. Aaron is like Chandler, he is funny, apparently married above his level, and in the end ages horribly and becomes a drunk. Jeremy is like Rachel, his nipples are always crazy hard, and I am pretty sure he has seen Ross’s (Shawn) Balls. Savage is a lot like Phoebe. Because while she was liked on the show, she was everyones least favorite character. And Nick is like Gunther, it is hit or miss if he is on the show, and even when he was, no one really remembers him.

Hey guys first of great show. I'm the type of gal that much rather being hanging out with the guys than doing whatever it is those prissy bitches do. You guys make my long drives more tolerable. Not that I'm going to stop listening to you guys but wondering if you can recommend a good hunting podcast? I'm not talented the way Shawn is, I can't watch YouTube videos while I'm driving. My talents are safer and arguably more enjoyable. Thanks and keep up the great work.

Don M

With how brutal the heat can be in the summer in my area, if I kept a gun in the car, would there be any risk of rounds cooking off?

Tony D

Great show! Loved the special you did on the NRA recently. Keep at 'em. I have a Remington 7400 in 30.06 with an accuracy system forearm and top pic rail. The Tasco 3x9 that was on the rifle when I got it has gone bad. I'm looking for your recommendations on a replacement for the poor.

The gun is only used for hunting whitetail. I shoot maybe a box of rounds a year with it. Max shot is 250 yards. I shoot 185 grain federal whitetail rounds. Before Jeremy asks why it's because of the distance I shoot and that is the heaviest round the rifle is rated for. That round has the most knock down power, grouped the best and is affordable. Thanks in advance.

Jeff T

I have two questions. Thanks in advance for the advice. Love the podcast!

1. My mom recently told me she wanted to get a gun for home defense. She's 65, in a wheel chair, and has rheumatoid arthritis. She lives in Las Vegas so she's "freer" than I am in California. What would you recommend for her knowing she has these limitations?

2. I'm looking to purchase a lightweight hunting rifle for wild pig and possibly deer. I already have a Ruger RPR in 6.5 Creedmore and if like to stay with 6.5 Creedmore but am willing to consider .308. I was looking at the Christensen Arms Mesa but would like to stay under $1000. What would you recommend?

Thanks much,

Jeff

Dave P

So I’ll keep my question short and simple. I have a windham varmit exterminator. I’m wanting a lighter, more tactical style AR as well. Is the windham lower decent to build off of and just swap uppers as needed, or should I just build a completely different rifle? And to clarify, the rifle would only have the the fluted bull barrel upper whilst hunting. And what’s up Sean, I grew up in the Springs.

Safety First

Hey, guys, I'm wondering why you dislike pistol grips and telescoping stocks so much? Especially Jeremy. I consider the telescoping stock one of the best improvements in firearm history; behind the automatic action and suppressor. A telescoping stock allows the shooter to quickly adjust the length of pull. Given that the primary use of a firearm, throughout history, is for hunting this is extremely important. Being able to adjust the length of pull based on the gear you're wearing and shooters body size, allows them to be more accurate; especially when taking quick shots. Accuracy leads to safety. Consider why the military adopts any kind of technology. The primary reason is to be more effective at eliminating a threat. The second is to improve the safety of a soldier. A pistol grip is more ergonomic and therefore more comfortable allowing the shooter to hold the rifle more securely. Therefore increasing their accuracy, which makes them more effective and safer. Anytime I go hunting with new people I get looks of disgust when I pull out my modern sporting rifles. That is until they shoot my rifle and realize how comfortable it is. Unless they're a real Fudd they're instantly impressed. I think the more adjustability a gun has the better. In my opinion, every gun should come with a pistol grip, suppressor and telescoping stock. The anti-gunners say these modern designs are scary. I say that is because they don't understand how they improve the safety of the firearm. I think that is the message we need to be promoting. Not that these are just in common use. I'm not a superuser like you guys so please educate me as to why pistol grips and telescoping stocks are so bad?

Just another Review for an Excellent Show

by T--Boz on

RATING: ★★★★★

Great show, the hosts Jeremy and Nick do a great job dispensing useful firearms knowledge, while the sidekick Shawn makes sure the comedy flows. All the while, Bubba Joe Commie (Savage) talks about the devildogarms.com

of the poor and what’s happening in Soviet Washington. Keep up the great work. T-Boz

RATING: ★★★★★

As a full member of the Tribe, I just wanted to say, Aaron is my favorite, not because he is a Jew, I mean let’s be honest here, he is a Jew just like bacon is Kosher. It is because he drops some hilarity out of nowhere (Usually at Jeremy’s expense) and it cracks me up. Keep it up A-Aron.

Johnny Small game

Thank you for taking the time to answer my last question. I have a follow-up question based on your recommendation. I have been researching the Glenfield Model 60. Do you think it would be better to get an older JM stamped Glenfield 60 and convert it with the Hunting Tactical stock, a new Marlin 60 that has a warranty and convert it (probably voiding the warranty) or I see that Hunting Tactical is now doing a pre-sale on their version, called the Super Sixty. They are listing the same five-year warranty that Marlin has.

I'm writing this before your review has posted so I apologize if you cover this in the review.

PS I want a telescoping stock because when I'm hunting I can go from a winter jacket in the morning to a T-shirt in the same day. This changes the length of pull of the rifle. Especially because you recommended a scope, being able to adjust the stock is important to me. Plus I like to stick it to the regulators when I get the chance.

Thanks, Johnny

Shane T

Hey guys, now that Shawn and I live in another ERPO gun grabbing state I was wondering if Second Call Defense will help with legal issues brought about by ERPO's? Thanks

Ricky Bobby

What is the best barrel length for a long range 5.45x39 build?

Steve H

Hey guys, hope you're doing well! I have a bit of a technical question that maybe you all can help me with.

What kind of buffer should I run to get consistent performance out of my 300blk fitted with an echo trigger? It will be shooting subs suppressed 80% of the time. Also recommend me a 9 inch upper that can cycle subs and supers!

Will see you guys at NRAAM.

The Professor Poole

As a fellow "low hanger," what are the best tactical pants for comfort? I recently bought 3 different brands, and they all feel like they put my balls in a vise! Especially when sitting or kneeling. I'm pretty sure you've talked about this before, but I can't remember which episode and am too lazy to search! Thanks, and let 'em swing!

Johnny Small game

Great show, keep it up. Glad you only allow the communist on once a week. Just reminds me they still exist and are real. Sorry for the long question but I know if I don't provide details then you really can't provide a good answer.

I have a question for Nick and Jeremy. I'm looking for a new carbine style small game hunting rifle. I've been using a 22 hornet and a 20 ga. The hornet is a New England break action and I like how small and light it is but there is no meat left after. Last rabbit I shot with it, it cut in half. The 20 ga doesn't reach out far enough. Most shots are 50 yards but would like to be able to reach out at least 100 yards. Been thinking about a 17 hmr, 22 lr or 22 mag. What caliber do you suggest? Doesn't have to be one of those but I don't want the ammo to break the bank.

Next what rifle do you suggest? I would like something with a telescoping sock. I'm in NY so that means it has to have a fixed mag if semiautomatic. That rules out the ruger 1022. I heard mention of glenfield a few shows back but do not remember the model and everything I can find is old with a fixed stock.

Last question, I shoot iron sights but my eyes are getting older. Any recommendations on a budget 2x red dot?

Thanks,

Johnny

Chris K

This question is mainly for Jeremy (since I know he is fan of Springfield), but I would appreciate any other opinions from the panel as well except for Savage, just kidding commies aren't allowed on Double Tap. I currently carry an XDS most of the time, but sometimes when it's convenient I carry my Ruger p95 because I shoot it more accurately and it has better capacity. I like the XD platform and have been interested in an XDM in 9mm. My question is, would it be worth it to 'upgrade' to an XDM or do you feel the Ruger p95 is a solid enough pistol? Sorry if this was a long winded question. #wlsislife

Jimmy A

I may going to be hiking in the backwoods a lot this year and I am looking for a gun to defend myself against anything from rabbits to mountain lions and inbred psycho killers. Would 10mm or .357 be better for this purpose? And should I be getting a rifle and a pistol or just one of the two? Thanks guys. Love the show and look forward to seeing you in Indy
