Welcome to the Off Road Podcast. Today we will be exploring the off road world-- whether you like crawling up rock ledges or enjoy exploring the backroads with your family. Stay with us to find out events in your area, off road news, and topics to interest every guy & girl who craves the outdoors as seen through the windshield. I am your host Ben here with my co-hosts Jeremy, Aaron, and Steve! How’s everyone doing?

Anyone done anything exciting?

  • Ben - Hurt myself so not doing much hard to do much. Got stuff for my oil change.

  • Jeremy - After the WARN tour, went to the Tillamook State Forest and ran a few Trails (Fire Break 5, Bates Road). Rotated Tires on Truck

  • Aaron - Saw how winches are made. Went to a gun show with Chad from the Gun & Gear Review Podcast. Put some lead through my wooden AR.

  • Steve - new air compressor, working on trailer again.  Welding new spring hangers on. That’s about it. Been doing some reloading for pistol.

Events!

Want to meet us and have a wonderful day on the trail?  Come out to the Off Road Podcast Tahuya Listener Run on October 6th.  Ben, Aaron and Jeremy will be meeting at the Belfair Safeway at 1045 and leaving for the park at 11.  We will be stopping at mud lake for lunch and shenanigans followed by some trail runs. All skill levels are welcome. Come out, have a great time, and make some new friends. You must have tow points front and rear, an appropriately sized spare tire, jack capable of lifting your vehicle, tools to change your tire, functional parking brake, seatbelts for all occupants, and a discovery pass.  It is also highly recommended that you have a tow strap, 31” tires, First Aid kit, fire extinguisher, spill kit, and low range in your transfer case. Unless you are trailering your rig, it must be road legal including valid registration and insurance. If you have a radio (walkietalkie/CB/Ham) please bring them along so we can keep in touch on the trail. Please RSVP on our Facebook.

Feedback:

Roy wrote: I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 that has 29” tires.  Is this okay for the Tahuya run or do I need 31s? I only ask because I’d need a lift and I don’t feel like doing all that extra stuff.  Also will this be more open off roading or close quarters squeezing through trees?
