Hey guys! Love the podcast! Yours is the first off-road podcast/4x4 podcast I found (and I had been looking for literally years) that was accessible to a newb like me. Listening to episode 32 and I was thinking of some things you might be able to use as giveaways that aren't expensive and could be pretty universal: grab handles (admittedly kinda specific to Jeeps), shifter knobs, cellphone/GPS holders (suction cup type that attach to windshield), D-rings, tow hooks, hitches, Amazon gift cards, decals/stickers/graphics, gas cards, phone cases, gas cans, tire covers (can you tell I drive a TJ? Lol), any cleaning product like top conditioner/cleaner or leather cleaner or wax, memberships to 4x4 parks, etc. etc. This might seem like silly stuff, but I promise your listeners are listening for content, not free gear, so any giveaways at all would be icing on the proverbial cake. Four wheeler just did a "10 worst off road widgets" I'd love to hear your thoughts. Also, what are you going to talk about once the jeep is lifted?

Hey Jeff and Greg love the show keep up the good work don't think there are any other off road podcast as detailed as you (I know of one other podcast but not as good) here is my 88 Yoda kinda wish I had tools and need to do heavy offroading I've got a 85 with a straight axle sitting ready to be sold need a lot of work.

BTW both trucks have 31" x10.5"x15 (think thats right) tires I like the dick cepeks but they are bold so swapped them out for my $800 less Schwab A/T radials they have 50,000 miles on them with 70-80% tread left

I love the show and have enjoyed it from the beginning!  Every time I hear Jeff talking about building a new rig, I never hear about the vehicle that I think might be perfect, the K-5 Blazer!  Parts are cheap, since most of the parts are also on the trucks as well.  The interior is nice and big (I'm 6'2" and have room to move the seat back more) but the outside dimensions are not that much larger than a Pathfinder.  And the best part, Chevy 350!! Again, parts are cheap, and abundant!  I know you guys aren't into motor work, so I'd recommend the early carbureted models, before the smog pumps (in my state, that's 1975 and earlier), or the early 90's where they went to the throttle body injection (TBI).  I have a 1992 with that motor, however it is IFS.  I would guess that you'd probably straight axle the front, and I wouldn't be surprised that some of the early model front suspension parts could be swapped/fabbed to fit on a '92-'94 model.

I'd love to hear what both of your thoughts are on a K-5!

Thank you for reading my email about my 87 4runner. I decided on getting some new bilstein 4300 shocks, and keeping the stock height. I also settled on getting a new used motor, I picked up a newer 22re with 120000 miles. Plan on changing the head gasket, head bolts, water pump, oil pump, flywheel, and clutch. I am still on the fence between 33 and 31 what do you guys recommend? I will be driving on the road allot going from state to state but my main goal is to be off road. After listing to your more of your shoes I decided to spend more of the money on winch and recovery equipment. Thanks again

Howdy fellas,

I am a proud owner of a 2001 4.7 WJ and have owned several WJ's and ZJ's over the last few years. I have never really toyed with suspension unless it was standard maintenance (Track bar and such). I am weighing the options of lifting my current rig and am now finding out the issues of having a unibody vehicle. I am not wanting an insane lift but just something to give a bit more clearance. I live in the Appalachian Mountains and so most of the time I'm either driving in snow or driving some trails to go hiking. What kits would you recommend for this platform?
