Welcome to the Off Road Podcast!! I am your host Greg Bakken and joining me is my co host Jeff Bakken...This is the podcast for all things offroad. Whether you're looking for Sunday jaunts on some fire roads or hard core rock crawling, we will cover it all. Episode 14!!!
What's up Jeff?
Hey guys, I've got an '04 tj Rubicon. Pretty basic and not hardcore by no means. Its running Rokmen control arms, Clayton adj trac bars and brackets, 4" Superlift springs, Rancho 5000 shocks,TEN Factory shafts front and rear and 35" Cepek mud countrys. Its been nearly perfect for my needs as daily driver, range toy and weekend wheeler (mild to moderate). A few weeks ago I finally ran past the short arms capabilities. I ran a long steep hill to reset some steel on a long range course of fire. Felt like the rear wanted to drive under the Jeep. So I've started looking at bolt on Long arm builder kits for just arms and brackets. I'm happy with my spring rates, lift and accessories. I'm not a great welder either. Looked at Rough Country builder kit and didn't look bad in person especially for the money. Do you guys have any first hand experience with them from the club? You usually get what you pay for so I'm a bit hesitant. Love the shows! Thanks, Matt
