Hello, and welcome to the Reloading Podcast here on the Firearms Radio network.  Tonight we are answering more listener questions.

  1. Iain Johnson - Using mil 7.62 brass making .243 Win brass. should I anneal first? He has some questions a couple weeks ago as well about resizing .308 brass down to .243 brass.Iain Johnson - hi guys, just a tip, when resizing .308 to .243 pre annealing may not be a good idea. Jim here… Mr. Johnson and I had quite a lengthy chat over this subject, and I made it point to advise the gent to anneal before hand. Quite emphatically, in fact. I humbly apologize for that wrong information about case forming. I wish there was a way that I could make this up to you, Iain. I totally apologize.
    1. Iain, The couple points we want to make number one is it possible your dies are dirty sir? Number two is it possible you may have of use insufficient lubricant? Number three is it possible you gotten your brass too soft? By heating it for too long? .Jeremy uses Tempilaq .. Tempilaq paint can be purchased at Tempilaq or on Amazon
  2. Jeremy uses this to check the shoulder.  Hornady Comparator Kit
  3. Billy Atwell - bought a Glock 20 Gen 3. Changed factory recoil spring out to a 22# spring in order to run hot loads for hunting. Has a “smear” on his primer (need to see picture on page). He’s running 180gr HP bullets around 1200fps. He’s wondering if this “smear” is an issue? If so, whats the solution?  The Glock 20 is a 10 mm auto cartridge, rather powerful, to say the very least.
  4. Vareck Walla - When you work up a load with a new powder and/or bullet, how many do you recommend making for a good representation sample? (Nice photo Vareck of your daughter helping you reload! OCW info
