Skipping Week In Review as its Main Topic!

Drink Segment: Ryan’s Whiskey Flight: Ryan wanted a drink but couldn’t decide what he wanted, and he didn’t feel like passing out before dinner was served.

Ideal situation for a cocktail flight!

So I mixed him this trio:

Manhattan,  Boulevardier, and a whiskey sour.

Ryan  didn’t like the Boulevardier,  but Compari is hit-or-miss for people,   The Manhattan wasn’t his favorite but I think it was the Dutch Bitters Boomtown Bitters, which are heavy in Sassafras.

But the Whiskey Sour was a big hit.

2 parts Rye Whiskey

1 part lemon juice

0.5 parts simple syrup.

You can also add in about 0.5oz fresh egg white and whip that into a froth before you shake with ice.   I didn’t think Ryan would appreciate that, so I omitted it.

Main Topic: Triggered

Now, I know this topic has been covered a little bit on this show before, but it was quite awhile ago and we may have some new listeners so I thought it might be fun to go into a bit of a detailed discussion of trigger types and differences. Also, I got to shoot a bunch of Weerds firearms this past week when we made a trip down to see him and went to Massachusetts Rifle & Pistol Club at Walnut Hill. We shot the Colt 1908 .25 ACP, Ruger LCR in .357 Magnum & .22 Long Rifle, S&W Model 617 in .22 LR, S&W 1911Sc in .45 ACP, Beretta 21A in .22 LR, Colt Trooper MkIII in .357 Magnum, Kahr PM45 (We shot his FAL too but that isn’t quite a handgun)
