Glock Corner: Robert: Great show I love the gun talk with no politics and junk. I own several glocks and was wondering if Zack could explain why I can't put a 45 barrel in my 29.
45 hood is larger then the 40 hood so it shouldn’t fit.

Listener Q&A: Sandy Johnston - New Zealand Hi J & Z, I have just left a review on the NZ iTunes section of your podcast for Gun Guy Radio. It will take a couple of days for them to clear it as they check the content. It is the first one here in NZ.!! I am 57 yrs young going for my gun licence for the first time and looking forward to getting a 22 rifle to control the pests on our wee farm here - our fruit trees' harvest was pitiful but I intend to fix that problem! I enjoy your show and look forward to more of the same. Keep up the good work. Also :I was listening to your review on budget hunting rifles and heard nothing of the "ruger american $349" - I thought that might be included.
Chris: Just listened to your budget hunting rifle show. I recently got into the firearms game and purchased my first hunting rifle. I actually bought an older (no accutrigger or bedding) used Savage 110 in 30-06 with a Simons ProHunter 3-9x40 scope for $250. I'm told the scope is junk and it is obvious that the stock is cheap too. It's not bedded at all and flexes to the point it touches the barrel sometimes. However, this rifle shoots true. With handloads it is shooting 1/2 MOA easy at 100 to 200 yards. And I have no problem hitting the gong at 560 yards. My friend Al is telling me that I got a great deal for the way it shoots. It makes me wonder how this rifle could be with a decent stock attached to it. Just thought that this rifle would be a good consideration for the topic. Keep up the great work with the show.
Stuart M.: Hey guys great show. I just have a couple questions about gun subjects that i want your expertise on. First I'm thinking of getting a suppressor for my AR-15. and wondering if the cycle well with regular ammo? and since its made to let a .224 round go through it would i be able to tread it onto my 22LR? Thanks for your help and the awesome podcast!

Steve Writes: Jake, Have you heard all the recent controversy around Editor Jerry Tsai of Recoil Magazine and his comments regarding civilian use/ownership of the new HK MP7A1? I was reading the new issue last night and was caught off guard by his comments, "we all know that's technology no civvies should ever lay their hands on. This is a purpose-built weapon with no sporting applications to speak of." http://www.recoilweb.com/recoil-statement-16159.html It may make some good conversation for the show. He published a half-hearted (in my opinion) statement deflecting his comments by basically saying he was restating HK's stance on the issue. Well HK published a statement basically saying, "your on your own buddy, we never said that, you did". This guy appears to have gotten himself into hot water and allegedly many advertiseres have decided to pull from the magazine. That has all yet to be seen though. Some more banter on the issue: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/09/foghorn/hk-hangs-recoil-magazine-out-to-dry/
