I am a new listener to your show. I am originally from England and grew up in a fishing family but never around hunting or guns. I found your podcast because I now live in Illinois and I am interested in possibly starting hunting and looking into the options that are available in my region. I am also considering a gun for home security.
Listening to your podcast you seemed disappointed about the restrictions to the concealed carry in Illinois. You mentioned that you can't take your gun to a park or when you are jogging. From your position what is the need to have your gun with you in these situations? I am pro guns and would be interested in hearing your view on this.
What is the process for removing guns from an older parent who is having periods of confusion/hallucinations? This is a person who purchased firearms legally, but now isn't trustworthy and I worry about household safety. Also, how would this change make it to the background check authorities in case he decides to buy another gun?
Milling , grinding , and drilling holes in slides seems to be very popular to some people. Please discuss the mechanical ramifications of doing such modifications.
