Welcome to Episode 173 of Gun Guy Radio! This is the podcast that shines a positive light on the firearms lifestyle. I’m Your host Ryan Michad and this is your weekly dose of positive firearms talk, without the politics. This week, I’m joined by Jon Patton to discuss his new firearms multimedia venture, the Gun Collective.

Welcome Jon, very excited to have you on the show!
With that, we will head into the main topic, The Gun Collective with Chaos311Clarity
Main Topic: Chaos311Clarity evolution into The Gun Collective
Longtime fans of the Chaos311Clarity YouTube channel and Facebook page will have noticed the recent into something called the Gun Collective. This week, we have with us Jon Patton, the man behind The Gun Collective, to discuss his new venture! To understand where you’re going, we should hear about the path you’ve taken so far. How did your channel/page originally start out?
What sorts of challenges did you encounter when you first started doing the page and YouTube channel?
What caused the evolution from the Chaos311Clarity page & name to the new Gun Collective brand?
When someone has just finished watching a video from The Gun Collective, what is it you want them to take away from the information?
In your opinion, what is something you feel is lacking the in the firearms industry media (print/video/blogs)? How can we change that?
One thing I noted watching your first episode of The Gun Collective was that when you talked about the news subject, you were clear, concise and to the point but without being overly sensational or exaggerating the subject matter like some people can do. A lot of times everything is portrayed as the biggest fire & brimstone event to occur relating to firearms rights. Do you feel that a levelheaded presentation of the facts is a key component to getting the information out to as wide an audience as possible?
What is the gameplan for The Gun Collective? Do you plan on being a strongly video driven site, or a combination of video and text style blogging?
What are some of the cool guns & gear that you have lined up for TGC?
Not entirely related to TGC, but I’d like to hear more about that .500 S&W Lever Action. What’s the story behind that rifle?
With that, we will wrap up the main topic and close out the show!
Well Jon it has been a pleasure to speak with you! Where can people find more information and where can they stay updated on everything with The Gun Collective?
