Short-barreled rifles (SBRs)—this category includes any firearm with a buttstock and either a rifled barrel under 16" long or an overall length under 26". The overall length is measured with any folding or collapsing stocks in the extended position. The category also includes firearms which came from the factory with a buttstock that was later removed by a third party. Short barreled shotguns (SBSs)—this category is defined similarly to SBRs, but the barrel must be at least 18" instead of 16", and the barrel must be a smoothbore. The minimum overall length limit remains 26". Silencers —this includes any portable device designed to muffle or disguise the report of a portable firearm. This category does not include non-portable devices, such as sound traps used by gunsmiths in their shops which are large and usually bolted to the floor.
Listener Question for main topic: Lane Douglas: I am a new listener, and slowly listening to the old episodes. Save your comments and jokes for others…………….. Did you discuss in detail suppressors in any of the old episodes? I just today created a Gun Trust, and in the next few weeks plan to buy a suppressor, and need some advice. Can 1 suppressor be used for both 22 LR and my AR 15’s in 556? The 556 is slightly larger, so wouldn’t it work for the 22? Attachment would need to match.

Listener Feedback:Josh Wood from Dallas, TX: Although I'm not sure exactly what the model that the listener was looking for is, but there is a gunshop in Caddo Mills, TX called Ammo Depot that appeared to have a whole shelf full of S&W m&p 15s and variants for just barely over $600. This was just prior to the election, so I don't know what's changed. This is by far my favorite gunshop now that CTD is out. They have the most impressive prices anywhere. Including the internet. It's not close to me, but they have every gun, type of ammo, reloading equipment, and accessory you could imagine. If they don't have it, they will order it. I drive past several other gunshops to get there and for good reason. Family owned, cheap as you can get, and fantastic customer service. They have also opened up a gunrange in the store that I have yet to check out. I'm planning on getting an FN AR there sooner than later. Owners name is Mickey Lowrey and his son's name is Colt! Super cool place and people, and back on topic, you may want to see if they still have any of the s&w AR 15 rifles on the shelf. Have your listener tell him Josh Wood from Dallas sent him and maybe he will work with me on that FN. :)
Darren: great to hear a fellow guy from il to talk about guns with out the crap we have to deal with in il. great to listen to while im out on the farm grinding feed and shooting at critters. keep up the good work.
Josh: Pertaining to the double stacked .22lr mags, you guys are absolutely right, but how did Kel Tec make their 30 round .22 mag pistol magazine? It is double stacked, but certainly the first of it's kind as far as I know, but the .22 mag has the same sized rim, does it not? Maybe Kel Tec figured something out and we have something to look forward to in the future with .22lr double stacked mags.
Lane Douglas - Tennessee: Your GGR podcast is quickly becoming my favorite of the many gun related podcasts that I listen to each week. And not for the #1 reason of no politics, but because you have an outline that you follow on each podcast, I look forward to each segment. That said, please don’t add politics, Tom at GunTalk gives me all of that I need! I do suggest that you consider adding one or two new segments, you could ask those of us that collect to submit our favorite gun in our collection, and / or you could ask listeners to submit our favorite book. I will spare you details of my favorite gun and book until or if you add these segments.
Shawn McCarntey: Hello guys from Virginia Found you pod cast recently and have to say it is the best By far. Thanks keep up the good work.
