Dear Sirs: (for lack of better salutation)

I am an older man, relative to you, shooting all my life, that feels like an amateur when I listen to you. Every week I listen eagerly to your latest reviews as I fantasize about modifying a gun. I grew up in the time where you just bought a gun out of the Sears or Wards catalog and then drove to town to pick it up and used it, as is. When you wanted a better gun, you had to buy a new one. Great for gun collections, but...   Anyway, I listen to you on Stitcher, haven't found a way to give reviews on it yet. Please keep up the good work.

I know everyone is getting on the optic bandwagon for their carry pistol. I was looking at Lone Wolf Dist and they offer a slide cut/melt for around $100 and then just a plain drill and tap to the top of the slide for $39.99. My question is which one would you guys prefer? I’m sure the slide cut is sturdier. I’m wanting to run the Holosun 507c or the T model when it’s released. Thanks in advance.

Have tried listening to several podcasts and cannot listen to most more than half way through. (Due to political rants and obviously paid for statements). This one is outstanding with the sometimes unified, but more often than not, individualized perspectives on each products merits. I am also a firearms instructor (Pistol, rifle, and CQB) in Florida and I recommend your podcast to all of my classes. Keep up the great work!

Great podcast, until chad begins reading his notes, ending each sentence with the word “uh”. The monotone nature, along with the cadence, makes it painful to listen too. I just fast forward when he speaks now. I wish I didn’t have to do that, because I love the content otherwise.

Boyd's Ruger American AICS Bottom Metal

I just listened to your podcast episode where you talked about the Boyd's bottom metal for the Ruger American rifles. I felt like everyone missed the point of these and just wanted to share my take. The newer Ruger American rifles come already equipped to use the AI style magazines. I think I am the exact target market for these as I have one of the older model Ruger American Predator models, in a Boyd's AT-One stock, using Ruger's terrible rotary magazines. I was actually considering selling that rifle to buy one of the newer models because of how little luck I had with the rotary mags. This new bottom metal is a god send as I can buy this now and switch mags instead of selling what I have, buying a new gun, and then buying a new stock as well.

Just wanted to let you guys know of another use case for this. It's basically a fix for the older models with the terrible rotary mags.

Cody G. and his episode 281 play by play

On this weeks episode of the Gun & Gear review podcast:

Tony Simon he dead from Scanning a cat what ever that means.

Zane Mungillo opts for reduced recoil pistol loads (accepts 22lr as his favorite caliber) for micro rifles.

Sean Fisher is still M.I.A from probably from Zane’s boating accident. Or clandestine operations behind the NJ front lines.

Rob Acutely has a speaking part, and good inside on pistol comps.

Chad Wallace continues to broadcast the signal to the wasteland about his shooting match and how amazing his new cube comp is for its combat multiplier effect. (After his bounce rolled of a D20)

TJ’s where abouts still unknown maybe some where in shorts with an ankle holster.

Ryan Cross who? I think he still owes me a benchmade 940.

Oh ya and some thing about another not a glock Glock and 1911 2 world wars thing.

I listen to you guys every week and I always learn something. I just have one question, why do pistol makers put the take down lever on the left side of the slide? I, like most people, shoot right handed and thumbs forward and don't want my thumb resting on or near the take down lever. I've no problem with Glocks since the take down mechanism does not interfere but so many other pistols have the dang take down lever right where my thumb would go. I had a SIG P320 but couldn't get past the take down lever and though I liked the gun I sold it off. I've looked at many others and said, no thanks to that potential take down lever interference. Could they not move it to the other side where it would only bother the 10% of people who shoot left handed? Thanks for doing the show.

RATING: ★★★★★

If you want to be called a tactical Timmy, told you can’t shoot, called out for buying high value weapons instead of hi points or 22 cal CZs, and hear a guy hate on literally every product review except the manufacturers that give him freebies, Tony is your guy, Chad is great, Zane seems to know a lot about self defense shooting. Tony isn’t that bad but the constant need to tell everyone they don’t train gets tiresome. Seems like it’s getting worse, I hope Zane hugs him.The 2A for E seems like a solid thing tho so I can’t totally slam him. He’s a good person for the 2A.

Christopher M

Last weeks show was a disaster! The only way I can continue listening to this podcast is if TONY, gives a double “bye Felicia” this week to make up for his negligence. Zane saying, “bye Felicia” sounds like someone is holding a gun to his head and forcing him. He does not have the soul that Tony does when saying it. Furthermore, if Zane wants a catch phrase, he should end the show with something like, “low recoil Zane signing off.” And Chad, you should end the show with your famous “whatever.”

In all seriousness, great show! By far my favorite firearms related podcast.

Hello, I have been listening for around three months now and I very much enjoy the podcast. I have been around guns my whole life, but in the past 6 months since purchasing my home I have really gotten into firearms and home/personal defense in general. I would love to see more content related to new shooters/firearms enthusiasts. Like to hear content related to personal/home defense techniques, new concealed carry tips and possibly retro reviews of popular/older firearms. Really enjoying the show, thanks guys!

I thought the band was back when Sean and Ryan were on. It was like listening to the gods of guns and gear I dare no anger.

The last show that Sean and Ryan were on was one of the best podcasts since Chad fired Sean and Ryan. I know The pound for for pound largest guns advocate and trainer has been carrying the show in there absence. It’s still lopsided. I know they imported Zane (like you import a paps) and he try’s his hardest to keep up with the impossible to fill shoes of Sean.

Zane keep working at it and someday I will find you your own fanboys among men or maybe just a tactical hamster. Sean and Ryan brought out the enthusiasm of Rob like no one else and made Chad well Chad the try hard. For once Chad had a chance to chill while the other ran wild making for the best podcast around.

Now there is an official fan page for Sean in facebook for all of to get together and adore our favorite hosts. So come join me the office unofficial write in co-hhost Extraordair at the 2 Alpha 4 Echo  fan page. B t dubs it’s also the bacon bacon ranch club too.

I heard the show last week with the question about putting our HT60 on a model 60 in NJ. I wanted to email you asking if you would follow up on that question for us. I know you do not give legal advice and neither do we. However, we can say that the HT60 is NJ compliant on the model 60. Not on the model 795. We have this in writing from the NJ officials.

Listening to the podcast 272 almost made me go HRC on my cell phone. Made in America does not matter? How you can all voice such an ill-informed opinion is not at all clear. Your show reaches thousands of persons, you have a responsibility to be informed about the behavior of bad state actors like the PRC (China) if you are going to make such statements. Do you think that Holosun would be product with EO Tech or Aimpoint? It would not. Here is nugget of info for you all. What is the one thing that President Trump and Sen Schumer agree upon? The estimate the the PRC is stealing 500-600 billion worth of IP from the US each year. Do you think that matters? I do and so do millions of Americans.

I have worked in China I have witnessed first hand how one copy of Windows is copied to 300 PC's, That is the software they use to manufacture cheap sneakers and TV's. Check out what the PRC forced Boeing to do in order to secure a large purchase of aircraft. Joint venture with technology transfer, has the PRC earned that tech by their own research? No they force it out of the hands of US companies

Manufacturing is the foundation of a thriving economy, Look at CH and DE for how they maintain a manufacturing base of the highest quality. Do you know that the PRC has developing nation status in the WTO courtesy of Bill Clinton. Need more convincing pick up a copy of Wealth and Democracy , by Kevin Phillips. The end stage of every great economy is dependence on the financial services sector.

I do regret that my first contact with you has a negative tone. Your show overall is very entertaining and Tony's commitment of time and resources to 2A causes is laudable . If there is ever a diversity shoot out in OR i would happily volunteer to assist

regards

Great show, especially when someone does something that week with guns. This show is a staple in weekly podcast routine. I have a question for Tony. I have a Glenfield Model 60 I am replacing the broken stock on. I have purchased an HT60 Tactical Marlin Stock for it. The stock comes as a kit. When I assemble this can I use the telescoping stock or must I fix the position? Likewise, Can I assemble the adjustable pistol grip or must I leave it off? The rifle has a fixed 18 round magazine which is legal in NJ and as I understand it exempts it from being restricted. Love the product reviews keep up the great work.

Hey guys love the show. I was wanted to offer some feedback, a suggestion, and a question.

After discussing a product or a review, before moving on to the next topic could you possibly mention the name of the product again? Mentioning it up front is helpful, but until you discuss it I may not know if it interests me. Of course if it does, by then I forget which product you were discussing.

Also I would love it if you would consider discussing some of the firearms especially pistols that show up in deals posted on reddit's gundeals or gun.deals since the last show. I am always looking to hear good unbiased discussions about what is showing up in the deals section and what pistols to keep my eye out for if a deal shows up again.

Finally, what pistol would you start off with for a newer shooter just looking to shoot some 9mm at the range? I rented just about everything at the range multiple times, but came away less sure then when I went in. I have bought the safe, the range membership, and 1000 rounds of 9mm, but still can't decide on what pistol to start with for now. I keep finding myself drawn to the cheaper guns like the Grand Power K100 or the Bersa TPR9, but I wonder if for my first gun I am better off just picking up the VP9 or 92A1/M9A1 for $500 to start.

Love the show and advice

First of all I love the show. By far the best podcast on FRN. I am a little sad when I finish the weekly podcast and have to wait another week to hear about 2A4E, low recoil loads, and everyone beating up Zane about his Glock love (My second duty gun was a gen2 Glock 23 and I still have it and has never failed to go bang). I need some advice. I want to get my wife a 9mm carry gun. She likes the Shield 2.0 and the Sig 365. Any thoughts? Thanks for the podcast.
