Comedy Corner: Explaining Marriage The child was a typical four-year-old girl - cute, inquisitive, bright as a new penny. When she expressed difficulty in grasping the concept of marriage, her father decided to pull out his wedding photo album, thinking visual images would help.
One page after another, he pointed out the bride arriving at the church, the entrance, the wedding ceremony, the recessional, the reception, etc.
"Now do you understand?" he asked.
"I think so," she said, "is that when mommy came to work for us?"

Need more stories about dogs and bikes.
Before now, Wal-Mart has tried to ease concerns about its sale of firearms. In 2008, it partnered with Mayors Against Illegal Guns to create a video database of gun purchases at its stores and said it would trace any firearms bought from its stores that were later used in a crime. http://prtl-sitea-maigs.nyc.gov/html/media-center/pr007-08.shtml http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayors_Against_Illegal_Guns
Michael Litton Hi Troy and Doug,
I listen to you guys every week at work and enjoy your podcast. Most of all I enjoy that you all talk about God and guns which are two of my favorite subjects.
Because of your program I have devoted myself to listening to an audio version of the bible every day along with a devotional. I also enjoy listening to sermons of different preachers. There is nothing like listening and talking to God every day.
If you wouldn't mind keeping my family in prayer as my Wife lost her job in Oct. thanks to a great church and loving Grandparents, we were able to give our kids a great Christmas.
My Wife currently has application out and could possibly be picked up with the post office. I know God has everything in control and he has given us peace during this time.
Thank you for all that you guys do and it would be great to meet you all some day. I have family in Newman Georgia. I am not sure how far that is from you Doug.
Thanks again and God Bless, Mike
James Morgan Hey Troy if you still haven't given away your Duck Commander Devotional please keep me in mind. I am a week behind because of the holidays. Keep up love the 'cast and God has blessed me through you guys.
Joshua Southwell I want to say a couple of things that I have been in my mind about God and Guns. Without God I would have nothing. I have turned my life over to his care and it has taken weight off my shoulders. I have been trying to get my wife to go to church but have not been successful to this point, so I get my God fix by listening to Bishop T.d. Jakes his words have helped a lot in my relationship getting to know better. I am still working on being a good Christian but I do struggle. The other thing I think u could even talk about on the show if you're so inclined is teaching ur kids and ur responsibility to teach others about gun safety. The reason I think about this is because I just recently have bought my little cousin who is 5 a BB gun as I have for all my kids. Long story short there was a conversation between his mother and him why he could not shoot his gun up in the air and his mother kind of made a joke of it. When she told me this I had her tell him u do not shoot at or point your firearms at anything you don't plan to kill or plan on eating. I have taught all my kids to respect guns and to use them safely. My youngest who is 8 knows to respect all firearms and knows the do's or don'ts of safety. I had thought my cousin mother and his father would be better at teaching her child to respect firearms since we was both taught by the same family. It is our responsibility and duty to take the time to teach safety and by doing that showing the fun but serious nature of shooting sports can be. I have carried a firearm for work for 15 years as a security officer (paying for my own training most time). My youngest is use to seeing me carry a firearm she and other kids and some adults have had questions and I feel it is my duty to answer those questions as best as I can. Sorry so long but I am passionate about teaching safety and love to take the time to talk about it I think it would make a good show. My 2 cents

NRA Armed Citizen Homeowner holds criminal at gunpoint until police arrive, KABC, Los Angeles, Calif. 01/05/15
Jeff Preach was at home in Castaic, Calif. when a man knocked at his front door. Preach answered the door and had a brief conversation with the man before the stranger punched him in the face, went inside the house, and attempted to rob him. Preach tackled the intruder with the help of his friend Larry Bensell. Once Bensell had the criminal under control, Preach went to another part of the home and retrieved a shotgun. Preach proceeded to hold the thief at gunpoint until police could arrive. (KABC, Los Angeles, Calif. 01/05/15)
