Weekly Bible VersesAnd in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” Luke 2:9-14

Naming the Twins
A man was taking his wife, who was pregnant with twins, to the hospital when his car went out of control and crashed.

Regaining consciousness, he saw his brother, a relentless practical joker, sitting at his bed side.

He asked his brother how his wife was doing and his brother said, "Don't worry, everybody is fine and you have a son and a daughter.

But the hospital was in a real hurry to

get the birth certificates filed and since both you and your wife were unconscious, I named them for you."

The husband was thinking to himself, "Oh no, what has he done now?" and asked with some hesitation, "Well, what did you name them?"

Whereupon, his brother replied, "I named the little girl Denise."

The husband, relieved, said, "That's a lovely name! And what did you come up with for my son?"

The brother replied, "Denephew."

Weekly Bible Verses “You shall not make idols for yourselves or erect an image or pillar, and you shall not set up a figured stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am the Lord your God. 2 You shall keep my Sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord. 3 “If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, 4 then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. 5 Your threshing shall last to the time of the grape harvest, and the grape harvest shall last to the time for sowing. And you shall eat your bread to the full and dwell in your land securely. 6 I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid. And I will remove harmful beasts from the land, and the sword shall not go through your land.7 You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. 8 Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. 9I will turn to you and make you fruitful and multiply you and will confirm my covenant with you. 10 You shall eat old store long kept, and you shall clear out the old to make way for the new. 11 I will make my dwelling among you, and my soul shall not abhor you. 12 And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be my people. 13 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves. And I have broken the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect. Leviticus 26:1-13

Comedy Corner: Perfect Woman Once upon a time, a perfect man and a perfect woman met. After a perfect courtship, they had a perfect wedding. Their life was, of course "perfect." One snowy, stormy Christmas Eve, this perfect couple was driving their perfect car (a SUV) along a winding road, when they noticed someone at the side of the road in distress. Being the perfect couple they stopped to help. There stood Santa Claus with a huge bundle of toys. Not wanting to disappoint any children on the eve of Christmas, the perfect couple loaded Santa and his toys into their vehicle. Soon they were driving along delivering the toys. Unfortunately, the driving conditions deteriorated and the perfect couple and Santa Claus had an accident. Only one of them survived the accident. Who was the survivor? The perfect woman survived. She's the only one who really existed in the first place. Everyone knows there is no Santa Claus and there is no such thing as a perfect man. So, if there is no perfect man and no Santa Claus, the perfect woman must have been driving. This explains why there was an accident.

Weekly Bible Verses In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light. 9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) 16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known. John 1:1-18 (ESV)

Most likely Jesus was born on September 29, the same as the date of the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles. It would have at least been appropriate for Christ to have been born on such a date, for it was at His birth that ‘the Word was made flesh and dwelt (literally tabernacled) among us’ (John 1:14).

This would mean, then, that His conception took place in late December. Thus, it might well be that when we today celebrate Christ’s birth at what we call Christmas (i.e., ‘Christ sent’), we are actually celebrating His miraculous conception, the time when the Father sent the Son into the world, in the virgin’s womb. This darkest time of the year—the time of the pagan Saturnalia, and the time when the sun (the physical ‘light of the world’) is at its greatest distance from the Holy Land—would surely be an appropriate time for God to send the spiritual ‘light of the world’ into the world as the ‘Savior, which is Christ the Lord’ (Luke 2:11)”

A redhead, brunette and blonde were on their way to Heaven.

God told them the stairway to Heaven was 1000 steps, and on every 5th step He’d tell them a joke. But, they must not laugh or else they couldn’t enter heaven.

The brunette went first and started laughing on the 65th step, so she could not enter Heaven.

The redhead went next and started laughing on the 320th step, so she could not enter Heaven either.

Then, it was the blonde’s turn. When she got to the 999th step, she started laughing.

“Why are you laughing?” God asked. “I didn’t tell a joke.”

“I know,” the blonde replied. “I just got the first one.”

Two priests died at the same time and meet St. Peter at the Pearly Gates. St. Peter says, "I'd like to get you guys in now but our computers are down. You'll have to go back to Earth for about a week, but you can't go back as humans. What'll it be?"

The first priest says, "I've always wanted to be an eagle, soaring above the Rocky Mountains."

"So be it," says St. Peter, and off flies the first priest.

The second priest mulls this over for a moment and asks, "Will you be keeping track of us, St. Peter ?"

"No, I told you the computer is down. There's no way we can keep track of what you are doing. This week's a freebie."

"In that case," says the second priest, "I've always wanted to be a stud."

"So be it," says St. Peter, and the second priest disappears.

A week goes by, the computer is fixed and the Lord tells St. Peter to recall the two priests.

"Will you have trouble locating them?" He asks.

"The first one should be easy," says St. Peter. "He's somewhere over the Rocky Mountains, flying with the eagles. But the second one could prove to be more difficult."

"Why?" asks the Lord.

"Because he's on a snow tire somewhere in Alaska."

Weekly Bible Verses John 13:6-17 (ESV) 5 Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?” 7 Jesus answered him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.” 8 Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.” 9 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!” 10 Jesus said to him, “The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but is completely clean. And you are clean, but not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, “Not all of you are clean.”

12 When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? 13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. 16 Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. This book is about decisions. Not the everyday kind such as "What should I wear today?" or "Where shall we eat tonight?" but decisions that deal with life, death, and protecting the innocent. Self defense is not only about individual survival; self defense can also decide the fate of a nation and all its citizens. "A Time to Kill:

The Myth of Christian Pacifism" answers questions such as:

  • Do federal, state, and local laws allow citizens to defend themselves against criminal attack?
  • What means are available for self defense?
  • What strategies should one use to avoid potential conflict. Can Christians defend themselves against Islamic extremists?
  • Is pacifism in the Bible?
  • Do the Gospels say Jesus was a pacifist?
  • What if God commands us to use deadly force to defend the innocent?
  • How do Jesus and the New Testament writers feel about the military?
  • What does the Bible say about the death penalty?
  • Can Christians sit on juries and vote for the death penalty?
  • Can Jesus' teachings help soldiers with combat-induced PTSD?
  • Does the Bible have a consistent message about self-defense from the Old Testament to the New?” Col. LTC (RET) Dave Grossman

NRA Armed Citizen Store employees fell armed robbers, WFMZ, Allentown, Pa. 11/01/15 FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2015

A trio of men, at least one of whom was armed with a gun, entered Latino’s Meat Market in Reading, Pa. and attempted to rob the store. The two employees on duty responded to the threat by retrieving guns and firing at the robbers, striking two, and causing the other to flee. The two criminals that were struck died. After a preliminary investigation, Reading police stated that the employees appear to have acted in self-defense. (WFMZ, Allentown, Pa. 11/01/15)

NRA Armed Citizen Veteran halts gas station robbery, WALB, Albany, Ga. 07/17/15

Army veteran Don Rogers was inside a gas station in Sycamore, Ga. when a robber armed with a gun entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. Rogers responded to the threat by drawing a pistol and firing at the thief, striking him twice and causing him to flee. The robber made it to a waiting getaway car, but a short distance later the thief and his accomplice stopped the car and called for medical attention. Police captured the pair a short time later.

Following the incident, Turner County Sheriff Andy Hester commented to a local media outlet, stating, “People are just sick of people running them up… And robbing, and stealing, and pillaging, and people are tired of it. These people that'll go out and do this kind of stuff need to realize- it ain't always gonna fare to their favor, just because they're a predator.” Rogers told the same outlet, “I was hoping nothing like this would ever happen, but I was glad I had my weapon with me.” Rogers added that he thinks every lawful gun owner should carry. Comedy Corner: Gun and Body At A Traffic Stop

A police officer pulls a guy over for speeding. Officer: May I see your driver's license? Driver: I don't have one. I was suspended when I got my 5th DUI. Officer: May I see the registration for your car? Driver: It's not my vehicle. I stole it. Officer: The car is stolen? Driver: That's right. But come to think of it, I think I saw the registration in the glove box when I was putting my gun in there. Officer: There's a gun in the glove box? Driver: Yes sir. That is where I put the gun after I shot the owner of the car and put her in the trunk. Officer: There's a body in the trunk?!? Driver: Yes, sir.

Upon hearing this the officer immediately call his captain on his radio. The car is quickly surrounded by police, and the captain approaches the driver to handle the tense situation himself.

Captain: Sir, can I see your license? Driver: Sure. Here it is. The captain checks it and verifies it is valid. Captain: Who's car is this? Driver: It's mine, officer. Here's the registration. The captain checks this too and the driver owns the car. Captain: Could you slowly open your glove box so I can see if there's a gun in it? Driver: Yes, sir, but there is no gun in there. Sure enough the captain finds no gun in the glove box. Captain: Would you mind opening your trunk? I was told that there is a body in there. Driver: No problem. The trunk is opened; and of course there is no body inside. Captain: I don't understand it. The officer who stopped you said you told him you didn't have a license, stole the car, had a gun in the glove box, and that there was a dead body in the trunk. Driver: Really? Well I'll bet that liar told you I was speeding too.

What do you do when a blonde throws a pin at you? Run like heck ... she's got a hand grenade in her mouth.

Liked these parts in the book: (1) “ I recently watched. “A mind needs books, like a sword needs a whetstone.” I found that quote to be quite appropriate for any discussion of knowledge, instruction, or learning.”

(2) Federalist writers put forth solemn warnings. In paper “Number IV” Jay warned against the fracturing of a strong national government or one that is poorly administered. “If they (foreign governments) see that our national government is efficient and well-administered, our trade prudently regulated, our militia properly organized and disciplined, our resources and finances discreetly managed, our credit re-established, our people free, contented and united, they will be much more disposed to cultivate our friendship than provoke our resentment. If, on the other hand, they find us either destitute of an effectual government…How liable would she become to only to their contempt, but to their outrage.

(3) A warrior should have an understanding of the peaceful arts as well as the killing arts. Musashi, Book of Five Rings.

(4) Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: Psalm 144:1 KJV.

Comedy Corner:

A friend was in front of me coming out of church one day, and the preacher was standing at the door as he always is to shake hands. He grabbed my friend by the hand and pulled him aside.

The Pastor said to him, "You need to join the Army of the Lord!"

My friend replied, "I'm already in the Army of the Lord, Pastor." Pastor questioned, "How come I don't see you except at Christmas and Easter?"

He whispered back, "I'm in the secret service."

Mildred, the church gossip and self-appointed arbiter of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose in the other members' private lives. Church members were unappreciative of her activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.

She made a mistake, however, when she accused George, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his pickup truck parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon.

She commented to George and others that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing.

George, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just walked away. He didn't explain, defend, or deny; he said nothing.

Later that evening, George quietly parked his pickup in front of Mildred's house... and left it there all night!

NRA Armed Citizen In Albuquerque, Another One of Those "Rare" Self-Defense Shootings

"Guns are rarely used to kill criminals or stop crimes," claims the Violence Policy Center (VPC), led by longtime handgun-ban advocate Josh Sugarmann, formerly of the National Coalition to Ban Handguns.

However, that's something the anti-gun group probably would have a hard time convincing former CNN Headline News anchor Lynne Russell and husband Chuck de Caro to believe. Tuesday night, Russell and de Caro, both carry permit-holders, were attacked in their motel room during a robbery that turned into a gunfight.

The anti-gun Washington Post reports that as de Caro tried to reason with the robber, Russell handed her purse to her husband, with a handgun concealed inside, and when the robber opened fire, de Caro, an Army veteran, did so as well. "My husband returned fire," Russell said. "And he's a better shot." While de Caro was struck three times, the robber was killed.

Fortunately, De Caro, whom Russell called her "hero," is recovering from his wounds. The VPC? Perhaps not so easily. De Caro's and Russell's use of a firearm to stop a crime is just another example that should give pause to anyone inclined to think there's even a shred of truth in what the VPC says.

DEA Agent

A DEA Agent stopped at a ranch in Texas and talked to an old rancher. He told the rancher, “I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs.” The rancher said, “okay, but don’t go into that field over there…”, as he pointed out the location. The DEA Agent verbally exploded and said, “look mister, I have the authority of the federal government with me!” Reaching into his rear back pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher. “See this badge?! This badge means I can go wherever I want… On any land! No questions asked, no answers given! Do you understand old man?!”

The rancher kindly nodded, apologized, and went about his chores. Moments later the rancher heard loud screams, he looked up and saw the DEA agent running for his life, being chased by the ranchers big Santa Gertrudis Bull…… With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it was likely that he’d sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The old rancher threw down his tools, ran as fast as he could to the fence, and yelled at the top of his lungs…… “YOUR BADGE! SHOW HIM YOUR  BADGE!”

Listener Feedback Troy and Doug,

I like morale patches, and I have a few from some of the podcasts I listen to.  I  wear them on my hat, and keep them on my backpack to show off the shows I support.  I wanted a God and Guns patch so I had one made.  I used Mutiny Shop ( mutinyshop.com ) since I have used them before for a custom patch for my work.  The patches are quality pvc patches with hook and loop backing.  I attached a photo to show the size and picture quality of the patch.  I like the way the patch turned out, and I would like to send you guys a few.   Let me know what you think, and if you are interested it would be my pleasure to send you some.

I love the show, and may God continue to bless you both.

Thank you, Jeff Bowen

Bible Verse Marks of the True Christian

9 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. 10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. NRA Armed Citizen Business owner shoots, kills would-be burglar By St. John Barned-Smith |  May 23, 2015 |  Updated: May 24, 2015 1:48pm

The owner of a trucking company in northeast Houston shot and killed a man trying to steal from  his business Friday night, authorities said. According to Houston police, the owner of the shop in the 8500 block of Westcott near Camay returned to his shop, which is currently still under construction, around 9:45 p.m. and found a man inside trying to steal some items. The two began scuffling, and the business owner, who was armed, pulled out his firearm and shot the man. The burglar was taken to LBJ Hospital in critical condition, where he died. His identity has not yet been released. The business owner was not hurt and has not yet been charged with any crimes, and the case will be referred to a Harris County grand jury, according to Houston Police Department spokesman Kese Smith. The case is still under investigation, he said.

Listener Feedback Mark McElvy - 22TCM

I have a few corrections on your 22 TCM statement..I believe it comes from a 223 case because 9mm brass is too short to form into tcm brass. They have had a double stack 1911 tcm/9mm version for a couple of years then came out with the rifle. This year they announced the single stack 1911 version. I picked mine up the week after the NRA show. Well made and shoots excellent. A standard 9mm 1911 magazine will fit and feed 9mm through the weapon fine but tcm will not fit in them. They sell a modified one that will hold 9mm and tcm, it has a spacer taken out of rear and a different follower.

Y'all  have a great show

NRA Armed Citizen Employee kills robber armed with shotgun, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Atlanta, Ga. 05/07/15

When the employee turned to get the item, the man drew a shotgun and trained it on the worker. As the employee turned around, he grabbed the shotgun barrel, forced it in a different direction, and then drew a gun. The employee shot and killed the armed robber. The horse says, “Me neither!”

The Parrot

Three sons left home, went out on their own and prospered. They discussed the gifts they were able to give their elderly mother. The first said: "I built a big house for our mother."

The second said: "I sent her a Mercedes with a driver."

The third said: "You remember how our mother enjoys reading the Bible. Now she can't see very well. So I sent her a remarkable parrot that recites the entire Bible. It took elders in the church 12 years to teach him. Mama just has to name the chapter and verse and the parrot recites it."

Soon thereafter, their mother sent out her letters of thanks.

"Milton," she said, "the house you built is so huge. I live only in one room, but I have to clean the whole house.

"Gerald," she said, "I am too old to travel. I stay most of the time at home so I rarely use the Mercedes. And that driver is so rude! He's a pain!" "But Donald," she said, "the little chicken you sent was delicious!"

Bible Verses

Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:24-26 (ESV)

NRA Armed Citizen Right-to-Carry permit holder foils carjacking, KSL, Salt Lake City, Utah 05/02/15

A Right-to-Carry permit holder was in a grocery store parking lot in Orem, Utah, when he heard a woman screaming nearby. The woman had been taken out of her vehicle by a carjacker. The permit holder rushed to help and confronted the criminal. As the thief was lunging at him, the permit holder shot and killed the attacker.

An investigation revealed that the deceased carjacker was sought in connection with another car theft earlier that day. When asked whether the permit holder could face charges, Orem Police Captain Ned Jackson told reporters, “He’s trying to assist this lady whose car is being stolen. He was fighting with her, he was trying to protect her. Then at the point the suspect comes to him and he’s trying to take the gun from him, then he’s trying to protect himself.” (KSL, Salt Lake City, Utah 05/02/15)

WHAT DO DEER THINK?

Ted Nugent, rock star and avid bow hunter from Michigan, was being interviewed by a French journalist and animal rights activist. The discussion came around to deer hunting. The journalist asked, "What do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before you shoot him? Is it, 'Are you my friend?' or is it 'Are you the one that killed my brother?' "

Nugent replied, "Deer aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, 'What am I going to eat next, who am I going to sex with next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the French.' "

The interview ended at that point.

Troy and Doug,

Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (Matt. 5: 13-16 ESV)

Armed clerk fights off masked robber, The Tampa Bay Times, Tampa Bay, Fla. 04/19/15

TAMPA — The robber entered the ABC Liquor store Sunday, pulled a gun and ordered the two clerks to the ground. One of them ignored the command and pulled his own gun.

The clerk fired at the robber, police said, but wasn't sure if he hit his target. The robber fired back, just grazing the clerk in the face.

Then the assailant made what might have been his best decision during the 2:55 p.m. robbery — he fled on foot.

Tampa police said they were still searching for the unidentified robber, who covered the lower part of his face with a towel, wore a black hat, sunglasses and a gray T-shirt over a black, long-sleeve shirt. Police did not say if he got away with any cash during the robbery at the 3707 E Hillsborough Avenue liquor store.

Police using dogs combed an area near the store searching for the suspect. Police said they didn't know if he had a car waiting for him near the store.

The clerk who pulled the gun suffered only a minor injury from the bullet grazing him. A second clerk also suffered a minor injury caused by glass broken by one of the bullets. No customers were in the store during the attempted robbery.

Police did not identify the clerks, both of whom were taken to an area hospital.

Day After Christmas The pastor was looking over the manger scene the day after Christmas when he noticed that the baby Jesus was missing. He went outside and saw a little boy pulling a new red wagon. In the wagon was Jesus.

We walked up to the boy and said, "Hi, there. Where did you get the baby Jesus?"

The boy answered honestly, "In the church."

"Why did you take him?" the pastor asked.

"Well," said the boy, "I prayed to the Lord Jesus and asked him for a wagon for Christmas. I told Him that if He gave me one, I'd take Him for a ride in it."

Bible Verses

DO GOOD IN SUFFERING (1 PET. 4:12-19).

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And “If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good. Bible Verses

Matthew 27:11-65 (ESV)

Now Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus said, “You have said so.” 12But when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he gave no answer. 13 Then Pilate said to him, “Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?” 14 But he gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed.

The Crowd Chooses Barabbas

15 Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release for the crowd any one prisoner whom they wanted.16 And they had then a notorious prisoner called Barabbas. 17 So when they had gathered, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release for you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?” 18 For he knew that it was out of envy that they had delivered him up. 19 Besides, while he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered much because of him today in a dream.” 20Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. 21The governor again said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas.” 22 Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said, “Let him be crucified!” 23 And he said, “Why, what evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Let him be crucified!”

Pilate Delivers Jesus to Be Crucified

24 So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of this man’s blood; see to it yourselves.” 25 And all the people answered, “His blood be on us and on our children!” 26 Then he released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, delivered him to be crucified.

Jesus Is Mocked

27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the governor’s headquarters, and they gathered the whole battalion before him. 28 And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, 29 and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 30 And they spit on him and took the reed and struck him on the head. 31 And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes on him and led him away to crucify him.

The Crucifixion

32 As they went out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. They compelled this man to carry his cross. 33 And when they came to a place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull), 34 they offered him wine to drink, mixed with gall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it. 35 And when they had crucified him, they divided his garments among them by casting lots. 36 Then they sat down and kept watch over him there. 37 And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.” 38 Then two robbers were crucified with him, one on the right and one on the left. 39 And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads 40 and saying, “You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.” 41 So also the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying, 42 “He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 43 He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. For he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’” 44 And the robbers who were crucified with him also reviled him in the same way.

The Death of Jesus

45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, AY-lee, AY-lee, luh-MAH sah-BAHK-tah-nee “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” 47And some of the bystanders, hearing it, said, “This man is calling Elijah.” 48 And one of them at once ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine, and put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink. 49 But the others said, “Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him.”50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.

51 And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. 52 The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised,53 and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. 54 When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

55 There were also many women there, looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him, 56 among whom were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Joseph and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

Jesus Is Buried

57 When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus.58 He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him. 59 And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud 60 and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the entrance of the tomb and went away. 61 Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, sitting opposite the tomb.

The Guard at the Tomb

62The next day, that is, after the day of Preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered before Pilate 63 and said, “Sir, we remember how that impostor said, while he was still alive, ‘After three days I will rise.’ 64 Therefore order the tomb to be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples go and steal him away and tell the people, ‘He has risen from the dead,’ and the last fraud will be worse than the first.” 65 Pilate said to them, “You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make it as secure as you can.” 66 So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.

The talking Dog A man reading the paper saw an ad selling a talking dog for 10.00 He called the number and the man answered the phone and told him to come over and see him if he wanted.

The man arrived and knocked on the door. The owner answered the door and said the dog was on the side of the house in the fence. Go over and talk to him. Sceptical the man walks over and sure enough there is a dog sitting there. The man asks, so whats your story.

The dog replied, when i was really young i realized i could talk and communicate with humans. I started working for the police department. I soon moved up through the ranks. I found myself working with the CIA. they would put me in a room and listen to suspects and I would report back what I heard.

I finally retired, got married and settled down, had a few pups and here i am.

The man walked back to the front door and told the dogs owner. He is amazing. why are you selling him.

The man replied. He is such a liar, he never did any of that stuff.

Geoff PR says: March 11, 2015 at 00:58 And they carry Norris’s backpack for him. Out of respect.

Larry Perkins says: March 11, 2015 at 08:44 Most people, even dedicated Chuck Norris fans, don’t know this, but Chuck has a grizzly bear rug in front of his fireplace. A number of PETA People organized a rally to protest this environmental sacrilege; but called it off when they learned that the bear isn’t actually dead, it’s just afraid to move.

Good afternoon,

My name is Dan, I recently began listening to your podcasts while I work. I am a Truck Driver out of Southern Oregon.

I drive 8-10 hours a day and am left with quite a lot of time to listen to podcasts. Through pure luck your pod cast came up in the top few when I searched for 2nd amendment podcasts. I truly believe it was an act of God.

I lost faith several years ago. I went through some rough times in the military prior to my ets which lead to a divorce. I am now remarried to an amazing christian woman who has tried many times in the past to help me get right with God. I have been less than receptive. I believe I have led her astray in some ways. However after listening to your most recent podcast I could not stop.

I have now listened to several Hours of your podcasts and have decided to go to church. This Sunday will be the first time I have truly attended a sermon in years.

I want to thank you for helping me to realize the great things God is doing on my life. Don't ever stop, you are reaching people and positively affecting their lives. Keep up the good work you two.

2nd message from Dan

Last week a sent you a message via your website. I just realized you have a Facebook page I can message lol. Any who as a follow up my wife and I went to church last Sunday. This was my first time going to church with the intent of worshiping God in years. The sermon was perfect and spoke directly to my soul. The sermon was on an old testament book. The book was a short one by an old testament prophet that spoke to the Hebrew people. The gist is that they have made promises to God and failed. They are sinners and a time of trials is coming. But that God loves them and will use these trials to circumcise their hearts and bring them closer to God and that when the trials were finished they would be brought back to the holy land. Thank you for all you two do. It has made a true change in my life. Thank you.

Hey guys,

Just want to start out by saying thanks for a great podcast! I started listening about a month ago and am all caught up now. I'm writing in response to you're looking for a conceal carry purse for your wife. I got my wife a purse from http://www.guntotenmamas.com/ two years ago and she loves it. It holds her gun real secure, and has easy access. Plus it is well built and looks like a normal purse. Hope this helps you out, wish I had something manlier to write in about but then again taking care to protect your wife is what we're called to do. Thank you for being open for God to use you, keep up the good work and I look forward to your next podcast.

Bible Verses

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. (Col. 3:1-4)

Bible Verses

Unity with Believers and God

“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.” (Eph. 2:19-22)

And now God dwells in us. Who are we? We are the temple of God. We are the sanctuary and dwelling place of God, built upon the foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ for the glory of our great King. As God’s temple, we look forward to the day when the whole earth is filled with the presence of God.

NRA Armed Citizen Mother defends herself and daughter from crazed intruder, WTKR, Hampton Roads, Va. 03/12/15

A mother was at home with her young child in Newport News, Va. when a stranger behaving erratically began trying to force his way into the home through a door. Concerned for herself and her daughter’s safety, the mother retrieved a gun and called police. The man eventually broke into the home through a window. The mother responded to the intrusion by shooting the home invader twice. When police arrived the criminal was taken to a local hospital; he is expected to recover.

In explaining the incident to a local media outlet, the mother told a reporter, “All I knew is I wanted to stop him from hurting me or hurting my daughter.” The mother added, “It doesn’t make it too much easier to know that I can totally handle my worst fear… But along the same lines, it makes me feel more confident I was able to do what I needed to do.” (WTKR, Hampton Roads, Va. 03/12/15)

Bible Verses

THE BODY OF CHRIST IS UNITED... 1. IN THE SPIRIT (1 COR. 12:12-20).

“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.” (1 Cor. 12:12-20)
