Father O'Malley answers the phone. "Hello, is this Father O'Malley?" "It is" "This is the IRS. Can you help us?" "I can" "Do you know a Ted Houlihan?" "I do" "Is he a member of your congregation?" "He is" "Did he donate $10,000 to the church?" "He will".

Listener Feedback: Hey Troy and Doug, Fantastic show as always! I have a few related stories you may appreciate. Doug, you shared about thinking you had a snake climbing up your leg. I used to work at a farm store that also sold pet. I would occasionally take some of the animals to schools and other events to give presentations about different animals and their care needs and life cycles. On one occasion I arrived at a school and discovered the container holding the King snake was missing its occupant. I thought maybe I had forgotten to put it in the container so I went on with the presentation. When I returned to the store I discovered that I indeed had packed the snake but it was nowhere to be found. We searched everywhere but could not find it. A week later I was driving down interstate 79 through Pennsylvania when to my surprise I felt something climbing up the inside of my pants leg!! I swerved, regained control, then pulled over to retrieve my fugitive. I then had to drive the rest of the way home with the snake wrapped around my arm. He had survived for over a week inside the dash of my car!! Doug, I hope that doesn't give you nightmares:-) Also you guys shared about the dangers of others during turkey hunting even when on private property. A few years ago I was on my family's farm during spring gobbler season. It was just after first light and I had at least one gobbler calling back to me a hundred yards or so off. As I continued calling I caught movement off to my right so I slowly turned to see someone stalking towards me, gun poised and ready to shoot. I had to call out and shout to the man before he realized I wasn't an actual bird, which also consequently alerted the real birds to my presence as well. Moral of the story...don't stalk turkeys in spring gobbler in Pennsylvania (it's against the law), don't hunt on posted private property without permission, and never have your gun up and ready to shoot till you have identified your target! Thanks for all your hard work guys, Ben Arisman

Subject: God & Guns Activities

Message Body: Still out here enjoying the show. Might make one small suggestion. When y'all talk about God and Gun activities it is always "went shooting with so and so" or "got my gun out to clean." But since it is the God and Guns Activities Section why not mention what you did with God?

In fact here is an idea. Have your listeners send in emails about how they have combined their faith and firearms? Maybe they took the kid without a dad down the street hunting for the first time. Maybe they took the single mom at church out and showed her how to shoot.

We can all use our interests, hobbies and abilities to reach out to others and share our of love of Jesus with them.

Take care Guys.

gunrunr82 5 days ago Hey guys, love the podcast. I must confess I'm not a very religious person or strong believer, but I'm not a non-believer either. The messages that you share are very well received by myself. This is my only source for receiving the word of God right now and it's growing on me. Personally I miss the Chuck Norris jokes. I know you said you wanted some listener wish lists. This week i realized half my wish list. I just picked up an LWRC piston driven AR, and I also bought a SCAR 17S (in fde of course). Remaining on my reasonable wish list is a Sig 1911 Spartan and a Tavor in fde. Keep up the good work, it's very much appreciated.

buzman78 said Love your podcast. When I am feeling down about how things are going, your show gets me back on center reminding me the real reason we are here and that is to spread His glory. Thanks. Also love the stories you guys tell.  Never got to go hunting with my dad before he passed away when I was a kid, however some of the other things he did and we did come to mind when you tell your stories.  One thing he did I don't think Doug would have liked was bringing home blacksnakes by holding their heads and body with his left hand out the window of the car as he was driving down the gravel driveway  to release them under the house. He'd find them sunning on the road when he would drive home from work. The black-snakes would keep away the cottonmouth and copperheads.  Mom did not like any snakes and there were numerous times you'd hear a scream after she'd encounter on next to the garden hose or on the clothes line. Loved growing up in the country. Thanks again for the podcasts. Kurt

You are correct on the general story.  I saw a city cop in GA take a gun, claiming only police & military can have hollow-point ammo,,,therefore the carrier's gun was taken.  In CA if you have been in a mental institution UNDER SPECIAL INSTANCES an order for confiscation is ordered. BUT, the state is violating the law by entering homes w/out warrants & taking guns under diagnoses that aren't covered.

I know for a fact that SEALS, especially recently retired lifer SEALS are impatient- it keeps you alive. I could here the aggravation building in his soul. I'm a Christian, ordained elder & evangelist & born/bread East KY. But sadly, I wasn't always what GOD & you lost the chance to get a lot out of him by too much talking about yourself. After almost 40 years my family has to be careful wakening me. MY WIFE of 38 years, that most Godly, king & loving woman that I would give my life for & take your's or the Master Chief's for, was nearly punch with all my fervor because she woke me from a dream from decades ago. Listen to Johnny Carson, Jay Leno-Christians, no, but excellent interviewers. Or, watch or listen Sean Hannity's interview w/people he doesn't know.

I want you to succeed! I can hear your interest, good intent & you have good voice control. WITH GOD's HELP, if this is HIS direction for your life, you'll get there.

Follow-up I apologize, for the first hour I thought the Master Chief was your guest. It's your Doug that was mostly silent until the Master Chief came on, I was confused on that.  Your interview was excellent. Weekly Bible Verses Disturbing words from supposed Christians has prompted me to remind where our promise originates.

God’s Promise to Jews Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.  And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.  I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” ~Genesis 12: 1-3 (ESV) Abraham was chosen because of his faith in God and God made an unbreakable covenant with Israel's descendants

Jews are the vessel of Salvation Go out from Babylon, flee from Chaldea, declare this with a shout of joy, proclaim it, send it out to the end of the earth; say, “The Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob!” They did not thirst when he led them through the deserts;  he made water flow for them from the rock; he split the rock and the water gushed out. “There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.” ~Isaiah 48: 20-22 (ESV)

Restoration is the promise for the Jews ...“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the preserved of Israel;  I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.” Thus says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel and his Holy One, to one deeply despised, abhorred by the nation, the servant of rulers: “Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall prostrate themselves; because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.” ~Isaiah 49: 6-7 (ESV)

Jews will be restored in the end Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.  And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written,  “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”; “and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.”As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers.  For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.  For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience,  so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy.  For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all. Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.Romans 11: 25-36 (ESV)

Our salvation is our adoption into God’s family ...for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.  For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise. Galatians 3: 26-29 (ESV)

NRA Armed Citizen

Jewelry store owner fires at armed robber,, Michigan, 04/23/14 David Medawar, owner of Paul Medawar Fine Jewelry in Plainfield Township, Mich., was at his store when he spotted a group of four men near the front door. Medawar ordered his employees to a back room, as the armed robbers entered the store. Medawar and his father then armed themselves with handguns and retreated to the back room with the employees. From a surveillance system in the secure room, Medawar spotted one of the thieves approaching. Medawar warned the criminal, “We have a gun. We will shoot you. Leave.” Undeterred, the robber continued into the room, prompting Medawar and his father to open fire. After meeting the armed resistance all of the criminals fled. Medawar purchased firearms for the store following a robbery in 2010. The owner told a local media outlet, “We had taken measures to ensure that would not happen again… We were prepared when they came in, But God also protected us. He was watching over us.”

iTunes Review Blasterman TX (United States of America) Listening From Podcast #1 Rating: 5 Stars I've been listening to God and Guns podcast from the very first one. I am almost caught up to the current podcast. I have to say that, while missing what used to be the ubiquitous Chuck Norris jokes, your show just keeps getting better and better. Your faith sustains me and has spoken to a specific circumstance in my life on more than one occasion. I also especially appreciate and anticipate the weekly Bible lesson. Keep up the great work.
