Comedy Corner:

The talking Dog A man reading the paper saw an ad selling a talking dog for 10.00 He called the number and the man answered the phone and told him to come over and see him if he wanted.

The man arrived and knocked on the door. The owner answered the door and said the dog was on the side of the house in the fence. Go over and talk to him. Sceptical the man walks over and sure enough there is a dog sitting there. The man asks, so whats your story.

The dog replied, when i was really young i realized i could talk and communicate with humans. I started working for the police department. I soon moved up through the ranks. I found myself working with the CIA. they would put me in a room and listen to suspects and I would report back what I heard.

I finally retired, got married and settled down, had a few pups and here i am.

The man walked back to the front door and told the dogs owner. He is amazing. why are you selling him.

The man replied. He is such a liar, he never did any of that stuff.

I found these comments on the Truth About Guns website story "Which Gun Would You Grab: Hiking in Bear Country Edition" and thought you would like it. Keep up the great Christian podcast I really enjoy listening. W.W. Warren

roping down says: March 10, 2015 at 22:18 In honor of his 75th birthday, and to prove the point…….when Chuck Norris takes a hike in Montana, the Grizzlies carry bear spray.

Geoff PR says: March 11, 2015 at 00:58 And they carry Norris’s backpack for him. Out of respect.

Larry Perkins says: March 11, 2015 at 08:44 Most people, even dedicated Chuck Norris fans, don’t know this, but Chuck has a grizzly bear rug in front of his fireplace. A number of PETA People organized a rally to protest this environmental sacrilege; but called it off when they learned that the bear isn’t actually dead, it’s just afraid to move.

Listener Feedback:

Guys are you really trying to make me never watch another Walker Texas Ranger?

Regarding your interview with Stewart Rhodes he had spoke about a book that was about  Rhodesia ? I was interested in the book that he mentioned. But could not hear the title. And it was not on your show notes

Thanks for the word of God coming through each week

Subject: Restoration

Good afternoon,

My name is Dan, I recently began listening to your podcasts while I work. I am a Truck Driver out of Southern Oregon.

I drive 8-10 hours a day and am left with quite a lot of time to listen to podcasts. Through pure luck your pod cast came up in the top few when I searched for 2nd amendment podcasts. I truly believe it was an act of God.

I lost faith several years ago. I went through some rough times in the military prior to my ets which lead to a divorce. I am now remarried to an amazing christian woman who has tried many times in the past to help me get right with God. I have been less than receptive. I believe I have led her astray in some ways. However after listening to your most recent podcast I could not stop.

I have now listened to several Hours of your podcasts and have decided to go to church. This Sunday will be the first time I have truly attended a sermon in years.

I want to thank you for helping me to realize the great things God is doing on my life. Don't ever stop, you are reaching people and positively affecting their lives. Keep up the good work you two.

2nd message from Dan

Last week a sent you a message via your website. I just realized you have a Facebook page I can message lol. Any who as a follow up my wife and I went to church last Sunday. This was my first time going to church with the intent of worshiping God in years. The sermon was perfect and spoke directly to my soul. The sermon was on an old testament book. The book was a short one by an old testament prophet that spoke to the Hebrew people. The gist is that they have made promises to God and failed. They are sinners and a time of trials is coming. But that God loves them and will use these trials to circumcise their hearts and bring them closer to God and that when the trials were finished they would be brought back to the holy land. Thank you for all you two do. It has made a true change in my life. Thank you.

I'm writing in response to you're looking for a conceal carry purse for your wife. I got my wife a purse from two years ago and she loves it. It holds her gun real secure, and has easy access. Plus it is well built and looks like a normal purse. Hope this helps you out, wish I had something manlier to write in about but then again taking care to protect your wife is what we're called to do. Thank you for being open for God to use you, keep up the good work and I look forward to your next podcast.

Bible Verses

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. (Col. 3:1-4)

Right-to-Carry permit holder fells attacker in barbershop, CBS Philly, Philadelphia, Pa. 03/22/15

An altercation erupted inside Falah Barber Shop Inc. in West Philadelphia, Pa., during which one man drew a gun and fired at another person. A Right-to-Carry permit holder was inside the shop at the time of the shooting and responded by drawing a gun and shooting and killing the armed attacker.

Following the incident, Philadelphia Police Captain Frank Llewellyn said of the armed citizen, “He responded and I guess he saved a lot of people in there.” Llewellyn also noted, “There were numerous people in there… so it could have been a lot worse.” (CBS Philly, Philadelphia, Pa. 03/22/15)

From: Brandon J D. My Situation Hey guys figured I might give you an update on my situation. My last day at the job we talked about previously is tomorrow and I am going to take on a position in corrections at the county sheriffs department. I hope one day to move up to patrol but we will see if God has that in store for me. Also listening to the past few shows I am thinking more and more about getting my C&C permit but first I want to find a 45 that fits me. I have listened to you guys talk down on High Points a lot but I have to admit I purchased a 9mm for my wife for our anniversary and she loves it. The selling point for me was the made in the USA as well as the glowing reviews of their customer service. She was just wanting something to shoot in her spare time and at the price point this kinda fit the bill. As for me I stepped away from guns for a bit and bought a Barnett crossbow which I have loved! As I said before I am going to start looking for a good EDC 45. As far as wish list the new Apex looks like an interesting platform but I would have to find someone that owns it to out some rounds through it. Lastly I wanted to thank you guys for all your help in my time of need and keep up the great work, your show is a blessing! Your Brother in Christ, Brandon D.

James G. Subj: No Gun No Money Hi Doug, On a recent episode of the podcast, you mentioned the no guns no money card.  It was not clear to me if you knew where to get them.  I cam across them a few weeks ago, and made some up for my personal use.  I am sending you the file that I printed them from. The file worked just fine for me. I print my own business cards, so I already had the correct card stock.  I purchase at Staples business card stock, with 10 cards per page, 2 across and 5 high.  It works great, and I can give them out anywhere I see a "No Guns Allowed" sign at a business.  Hope it works well for you. Great job on the podcast.  And stay away from them snakes! Jim

Weekly Bible Verses And when a great crowd was gathering and people from town after town came to him, he said in a parable,  “A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it. And some fell on the rock, and as it grew up,  it withered away, because it had no moisture. And some fell among  thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it. And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded  a hundredfold.”  As he said these things, he called out,  “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” Luke 8:4-8 (ESV) Main Topic: Black Man with a Gun, Reloaded by Rev. An armed man wearing a bandana entered the Donut Hut in Las Vegas, Nev. and attempted to rob the store and the customers inside. The store’s owner, Sothy Seang, got into an altercation with the criminal, during which he directed his girlfriend to retrieve a gun. The girlfriend complied, and as the robber tried to wrest control of the gun, a shot was fired, striking the thief and causing him to flee. The thief was later captured by police when he sought treatment for his wound. Seang purchased a firearm for his business following an earlier robbery. Talk about This weeks gun activity/hunting/ conceal carry/ practice cleaning, News etc…

Comedy Corner:

  • A couple of Illinois’ hunters are out in the woods when one of them falls to the ground. He doesn't seem to be breathing, his eyes are rolled back in his head. The other guy whips out his cell phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps to the operator: 'My friend is dead! What can I do?' The operator, in a calm soothing voice says: 'Just take it easy. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead.' There is a silence, then a shot is heard. The guy's voice comes back on the line. He says: 'OK, now what?'

  • A  man and a friend are fishing one day at pond near the road. One of the guys is about to cast his lure when he sees a long funeral procession on the road next to the pond. He stops in mid-cast, takes off his cap, closes his eyes, and bows down in prayer. His friend says, "Wow, that is the most thoughtful and touching thing I have ever seen. You truly are a kind man."  The man then replies, "Yeah, well we were married for 35 years."

  • Two men went bear hunting. While one stayed in the cabin, the other went out looking for a bear. He soon found a huge bear, shot at it but only wounded it. The enraged bear charged toward him, he dropped his rifle and started running for the cabin as fast as he could. He ran pretty fast but the bear was just a little faster and gained on him with every step. Just as he reached the open cabin door, he tripped and fell flat. Too close behind to stop, the bear tripped over him and went rolling into the cabin. The man jumped up, closed the cabin door and yelled to his friend inside, "You skin this one while I go and get another one!"

Weekly Bible Verse:

By Faith; Hebrews 11: 1-13 (ESV) 1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. 4 By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. And through his faith, though he died, he still speaks. 5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. 7 By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. 8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God. 11 By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born descendants as many as the stars of heaven and as many as the innumerable grains of sand by the seashore. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.

Gospel: By Faith we put our hope in Christ alone. By faith not works. Examples given of faith in the text are: Abel, gift was accepted, Cain’s was not. Enoch, faith was such God brought him to heaven without tasting death. Noah, to build an Ark when it had never rained before, and kept that faith for an estimated 55 to 75 years while he built the Ark. Abraham, to go and claim his land. Sarah, to believe she would have a child. Is your faith active and real: or cultural, familial, traditional. Encourage them to think about it!

How to leave an iTunes Review

Chris Says, I have been listening to the show since this summer and I really enjoy and get a lot from it. I use the podcast as part of my daily devotional before I leave for work. I honestly have no other words to say about the show expect to keep doing business the way you are now. If I see or hear anything I will make sure to let you know. Again thanks for the fellowship and Merry Christmas.

Weekly Bible Verse: Act 5:25-32 (ESV) 25 And someone came and told them, “Look! The men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people.” 26 Then the captain with the officers went and brought them, but not by force, for they were afraid of being stoned by the people. 27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them, 28 saying, “We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.” 29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. 30The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree. 31 God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

Justin wrote: “Troy, thanks for the podcast this week brother. I'm 29 years old and was only saved about 4 years ago. Hearing you talk about your drift from God during parts of your life and going back to ask forgiveness of those people that were harmed hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn't cause all kinds of trouble during my atheistic start to life, but there are a few people who deserve an apology. You've inspired me to find them this week. I can tell, that a part of you is not sure if just you rambling can be a successful show, but your trust is truly in the almighty God and it shows. I bet you reach more than just little old me with your monologues. Please keep shows such as this up! Feel free to share on the air.”

My reply Transition to Bible Verse

Weekly Bible Verse:

Philippians 3:12-14   “12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. 13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Don’t let your mistakes of your past hold you back, once you’ve asked forgiveness of God and tried making things right with those you’ve wronged, whether they forgive you or not you put your focus on God’s leading and follow in faith.

Weekly Bible Verse:

1 Peter 4: 1-6 ESV Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God. For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry. With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you; but they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that though judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does.
