Here is a joke for your show. Larry Cunningham

A few minutes before the services started, the townspeople were sitting in their pews and talking. Suddenly, Satan appeared at the front of the church. Everyone started screaming and running for the front entrance, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away from evil incarnate.

Soon everyone had exited the church except for one elderly gentleman who sat calmly in his pew without moving, seeming oblivious to the fact that God's ultimate enemy was in his presence.

So Satan walked up to the old man and said, "Don't you know who I am?" The man replied, "Yep, sure do."

"Aren't you afraid of me?" Satan asked.

"Nope, sure ain't," said the man.

"Don't you realize I can kill you with a word?" asked Satan.

"Don't doubt it for a minute," returned the old man, in an even tone.

"Did you know that I could cause you profound, horrifying, physical AGONY... for all eternity?" persisted Satan.

"Yep," was the calm reply.

"And you're still not afraid?" asked Satan.

More than a little perturbed, Satan asked, "Well, why aren't you afraid of me?"

The man calmly replied, "Been married to your sister for the last 48 years!!

Listener Feedback

Patrick McMahon
Good morning, while listening to your podcast I got to hear the great news I won the book. I'm looking forward to getting to read the book. On the podcast you said you would need my address.

I have been listening to you all for over a year.  I first heard about you through Professor Paul and Student of the Gun.  I have been on the fence about joining their “Grad Program” but have been quite apprehensive since I know they advertise they use inappropriate language.  I spent 10 years in full time Youth & Family ministry and do everything I can to shield myself and family from that type of influence.  Listening to your latest episode reinforces my decision not to spend money to be subjected to foul language.  Thanks for reminding me to stay strong and to “avoid the very appearance of evil.”

I shared your episode on both Facebook & Twitter as well as sharing a direct link with my 20-year-old son (who is itching to get his TN concealed carry permit next year).  Thanks for all you do to bring a view of the cross into the gun culture!  Yours and Doug’s efforts are not in vain and do not go unnoticed.

Have a blessed week and I can’t wait for next week's’ episode!

I'm not a listener (I don't know why) but do listen to other Firearms Radio shows so I know about you through your ads.

This last weekend, I ran across an organization that you might find interesting. They are called "Special Youth Challenge" and, from what I've found, have chapters in Nebraska, Colorado, Minnesota and Iowa.

They are a ministry that takes kids with disabilities out hunting. They purposefully team Christian and those that don't claim Christianity together. For example, if the hunter or parent of the hunter is a Christian, they will team them with a guide that does not claim Christianity.

They are sponsored by the NRA (the Nebraska group I talked to had just been given a gun safe). Their gear is a turret mounted rifle or shotgun with a scope and smart phone paired together so the the hunter and guide can both see. The trigger is electronically controlled with twin push buttons, one held by the hunter one by the guide. The gun won't fire unless both are pushed.

I'm sure they would love to do an interview to promote their cause if you were to contact one of the chapters if you've not already talked to them.

Weekly Bible Verses
My son, keep your father's commandment, and forsake not your mother's teaching. 21 Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck. 22 When you walk, they will lead you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; and when you awake, they will talk with you. 23 For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life, 24 to preserve you from the evil woman, from the smooth tongue of the adulteress. 25 Do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes; 26 for the price of a prostitute is only a loaf of bread, but a married woman hunts down a precious life 27 Can a man carry fire next to his chest and his clothes not be burned? Or can one walk on hot coals and his feet not be scorched? 29 So is he who goes into his neighbor's wife; none who touches her will go unpunished. 30 People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his appetite when he is hungry, 31 but if he is caught, he will pay seven-fold; he will give all the goods of his house. 32 He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself. 33 He will get wounds and dishonor, and his disgrace will not be wiped away. 34 For jealousy makes a man furious, and he will not spare when he takes revenge. 35 He will accept no compensation; he will refuse though you multiply gifts.
