-Larry says:  “I liked the show was very pleasantly surprised to find that we share many of the same ideas.  I too use a single shot airsoft gun with my son.  he is learning proper sight picture and never to point the gun at anyone.  It has also given me many opurtunities to shoot with him that i would not have gotten without it.  We discovered a game with a bunch of half deflated helium birthday balloons. I took them outside and staked them down in front of a backstop  from about 10 yards away the spring powered airsoft couldn't penetrate the mylar balloons.  they would get hit 5 or 6 times before they would deflate and sink to the ground.  you would hit them once and they would bounce around giving you a chance to shoot at a moving target in a safe environment. One suggestion i have is talk to your children's friends parents about guns.  I would rather have someone ask me about my guns and how they are stored than have my kid find a loaded ar15 under a bed or something like that.

grandparents are some of the worst offenders.  ok maybe its just my father who has to go through the house to make sure the guns are picked up.  He was having problems with animals coming and killing chickens. We haven't had any negative reactions to talking with other parrents about guns.  my wifes best friend even opened up about carrying and has inspired my wife to go out and get her permit and now she carries regularly.

-Larry’s second email says:  “the Hi-Point carbine is far and above better than their pistols.  the are reliable and accurate.  my 9mm version was 6 years old and i picked it up for $90 bought a new stock for it for $40.  using the no questions asked lifetime warranty hi-point sent me firing pin and springs, a new sling/ sling mount, and then they told me to send in my mags for reconditioning or replacing.  that warranty is for any owner any time.

`the little gun is accurate out to 100 yards even with its broken plastic stock.  hi-point would have replaced the stock for free and gone through all the internals  if i would have sent the gun into them but I wanted to update my 995 to the 995 ts stock.  In conclusion i am not gonna sell my glocks any time soon but the little carbine is worth taking a second look at even if its ugly. Weekly Bible Verse: James 5:10 - 11

“Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11 As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.” (NIV)
