God and Guns Podcast
Episode 006 - 22Plinkster joins Mike and Zack
Welcome back to the God and Guns Podcast. My name’s Mike, your host, (Zack) And I’m Zack, your other host.
Zack and I use this podcast to talk about God, guns, and the responsible Christian gun owners interests.
Today, 22Plinkster will be joining us.
Chuck Norris is what Willis was talking about.
Chuck Norris does not hunt because the word hunting infers the probability of failure. Chuck Norris goes killing.
They once made a Chuck Norris toilet paper, but they stopped producing it b/c it wouldn't take crap off anybody.
Announcement: Midsouth Shooters is supplying hats and t-shirts. Stay tuned for giveaways.
-Talk a little bit about their website. -Matthew McLatchy from Canadian Reload Radio mentioned us on his show. Give shout out to them.
Peter says: “Just a note to let you know that I am not only enjoying the GNG podcasts but am also being "affected" by them. As a person that has led his life in what I think is a good and honorable christian way but with very little faith in it your podcasts are making me think and desire god in my life. I left the church as a young person due to the hypocrisy I saw in our local church. That was my excuse anyway. You are giving me a desire to seek god in my life. Thank you.
Annonymous says: Hi there,
I SO appreciate your podcast. I'm a 36-year-old black woman living in South Florida and I only mention that because as you probably know, the rates of violent crime against black women is very high. for many years, I've pondered the idea of gun ownership. As a Christian, I believe that ultimately, GOD ALONE is my savior and protector so I hesitated. But in reflecting on my own life and hearing about unfortunate incidents some of my girlfriends have experienced that possibly would not have escalated had they had a firearm. I've reconsidered. I'm single, I live alone, and while God watches over me, I'm at the point where I'm OK with gun ownership because let's face it: I need to be smart, too.
I'm taking a CCP class next month and I plan to buy a gun and learn how to use it this year. I have no idea where to start so your podcast has helped tremendously. I know you guys often mention your wives -- but can you offer tips for a single woman considering gun ownership? Maybe have a single gal on who's also a gun owner to share her experience? It would be greatly appreciated.
Not all of us live in the world of "kittens and rainbows." Some of us have experienced the harsh, dark realities of this world and we want to be better prepared in the event that, God forbid, something happens again.
Let me stress that I don't write that from a place of fear, just common sense.
God bless you guys. I love what you're doing and I wish you continued success.
Wallace says: Do you think Jesus would carry a gun?
If so what gun and caliber?
If he had one he probably wouldn't have been crucified. Love the show.
I cross myself and praise the Lord before I shoot. After a nice group sometimes I even start speaking in tongues. Everyone thinks I am crazy at the range when I do it. I told them they are heathens and are going to hell and that they should listen to your podcast. Haha.
Weekly Bible Verse:
Colossians 3:23,24 - “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (NIV)
