Rachel Guy: Physiotherapist, Fitness Presenter and Health Consultant, Rachel Guy has worked in the fitness industry for the past 13 years. Based in Sydney, she is now regarded as one of Australia’s top female trainers with an international following. Athletic Fox has an Online Training Membership Program “The Athletic Fox Blueprint” and many personal training services and eBooks, the courses and programs are designed to suit all women from all walks of life and many levels of training.

In the media, Rachel contributes to Mens Fitness, Cosmopolitan, On Duty and Shape magazines and been featured as a fitness model in several T.V. commercials and magazines including Ironman, MuscleMag, The Sydney Morning Herald and Oxygen. Rachel is Head of Strength & Conditioning for the TV show Wimp2Warrior, a six-month training camp to take the average Joe to MMA fighter.

Rachel addresses a question from Angela Neale: What does she recommend to clients when coming back from an injury? How soon should they start training again? Should they do any training while they still have pain? Specifically, I hurt my lower back 3 weeks ago doing deadlifts. Did two other workouts later that week. They were body weight and light kettle bells and both HIIT. Couldn't bend over at all for over a week (or even put socks on or tie my own shoes). Now I'm nervous to lift or even do body weight training. Wondering where to start? The only time I feel any pain now is when I sneeze.

The first podcast I watch was with Dr. Ede. I then began my journey with nutritional ketosis.  I started nutritional ketosis at the end of November last year.  I felt very well initially, best of all the lack of hunger impressed me. However, the past few months have been struggling. Meaning I am not losing weight, I actually feel that I am gaining fat. And then I watched your podcast with Kieffer, he is great by the way, so much knowledge. Kieffer is a star. I read Carb night . My CN journey began three weeks ago and I am enjoying food I have not eaten for years. I am not sure if  it is working for me. I have been trying to pay attention to my protein intake. Also trying to change exercise routine into weight lifting, but it is hard without mentor. So, Carol, thank you for inspiring me, you seem so jolly , lovely and a good person. I am a 50 yr old 5 time marathoner who let himself get distracted by work and bad habits and am working on dropping another 20 lbs.  I listen to your shows on my long weekend walks.  I get out early while still dark during the week so i don't use ear buds then.  Enjoying your podcasts. Susan Hall:  I am a listener of the show from the beginning! It is great, both funny and inspiring. What I like most is that it is about real people who struggle with some of the same issues I have. I listen to all the podcasts with the experts, but this one seems so real to me.

I have been on a long journey of trying to lose weight, but most of all, get healthy. I hit rock bottom in August of 2012 and since then have lost just about 70 lbs. I still have a very long road ahead of me, but in that time I have learned so much about how to take care of myself and the proper way to eat. I found the Paleo/Primal way of eating at my lowest moment and haven't looked back. Although I still have setbacks, I feel I have gained the knowledge to fight through them and stay true to what I believe is the correct way to eat for me.

I am also writing you to turn you on to an eye opening documentary that I watched recently. It is called Cereal Killers. I am not very good at giving summaries so here is the website:http://www.cerealkillersmovie.com/cereal-killers-movie. There is also a facebook page for it. I love, love, love this movie. It is not on Netflix or Amazon so you would have to rent it from the website. It is 4.99, but so worth it. I actually bought it so I can show it to my family members when they are open to it. Anyway, check it out if you get the chance.
