This week Jake helps us get our seedlings started!  He outlines his growing plans for this Spring and gives us some tips for doing our own. We discuss the challenges of backyard gardening but also the tremendous benefits.

Jake:  Quit POP cold turkey, edging back to Paleo, lots of salads, laura bars

Skipped a few obstacles but I conquered a few that were on my goal list.  Finished as a group.  Did more diet damage than good but it was overall great.

  • Growing up with a garden and chickens

Carol planted tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, squash, watermelon and cantaloupe.  Something HAS to survive!

Hey, guys and gal. I have been listening for a few months and have listened to every episode. You all have helped to keep my motivation up.  I know you have mentioned canning before, but I would like to know about canning cooked meals. I think it would be very helpful to be able to just grab a prepared meal rather than canned pasta. I am on my way to a more paleo diet. Just wanted to say loved all the episodes and happy Zach is back!

For your female listeners - have them check out the Paleo View podcast from Sarah Ballantyne of the paleo mom and Stacy Toth of Paleo Parents.   Episode 33 - Breastfeeding (specifically they talk about supply in this one - but I don't have kids yet, nor am I pregnant so I don't really have anything to say about it)  Episode 4 - Breastfeeding!  They have tons of info about getting your kids on board, I frequent paleoparents.com a lot and listen and adore them.

Thought it might be helpful since I just listened to the Apr 12 episode.  Maybe by this time you've discovered them :D

And note - if Ontario wasn't mass amounts of miles from Texas, I'd totally be at your meet up!
