Jim Q: Hi guys, anyway to get episodes 1 thru 72 on iTunes. I want to download onto a usb to listen while I am driving. I don't have a smartphone I don't go on facebook or anything else but iTunes, I know they are on youtube but that don't help me while I am driving sorry I am not computer savvy. thanks again Jim
Mark M: Hey guys, For better or worse, I am seriously considering a 14.5” barrel pinned and welded to 16” for my first AR. My question is, if I get my SBR stamp down the road, can I have a gunsmith remove the pin and weld and return my barrel to its original state? Or, once it is pinned, do all subsequent flash hiders need to be pinned and welded to maintain the barrel and flash hider’s integrity?
Also, it looks like 14.5” carbine length gas system configurations are losing popularity. BCM offers just a few carbine configurations compared to the numerous options in a mid-length configuration. I was always under the impression that the carbine length gas system is ideally suited for a 14.5” barrel. Is this the result of consumers demanding the softest shooting rifle they can get, regardless of reliability? Or am I just paranoid? I have read about issues with the 14.5” mid-lengths having trouble extracting and locking back the bolt. Just doesn’t seem worth the potential hassle, but BCM apparently thinks it is. What are your thoughts on 14.5” mid-lengths?
Love the show. Would like to hear fewer interviews and more discussion about specific topics like in the earlier days of the podcast. Maybe you could “interview” someone from BCM, DD, or Noveske and have them clear up some of my confusion!
Rexracer707: Thanks guys for a great podcast. Just got into listening to podcasts, yours was the first ones I downloaded. I'm hooked now. Thanks again great show.
Thomas: Reed, I hope you are recovering from Shot Show and that you made some good contacts for upcoming shows. That being said I was thinking you could explore doing a show on 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, or even 7.62x39 or 5.45x39 ARs.
I also have a question in regards to AR sights on SBRs. Would you go with an Aimpoint or EOTech. I was thinking I would go with XS Sights for rifles on it but started to think I should go red dot. What are your thoughts.
Ed H: it would be really helpful to do a episode in ammo Brass vs Steel , finishes on steel cases Bullet vs twist rate Etc.
With so many training and shooting a lot if I wish To save money what can I do to extract and work properly Is it harmful? What's good ammo vs bad? How to tell etc.
